Go out one night sober and watch all your friends get totally off their heads.

I did last night and couldn't believe how physically ill I felt at watching my friend's eyes roll into the back of his head and his whole face turn into a sweaty mess.

Hah, although I know a lot of you probably don't want to get *over* pills, but if you're struggling to only drop once a month, this can be a real eye-opener.

I use the same reasoning as to why I don't like drinking much anymore. From the outside looking in, most drugs look very "Oh god, what are you doing to yourself?"

And then you think, well I'm being hypocritical because I've done exactly the same thing. It's a weird thing to handle I guess.

I experienced the same thought process when I went to a rave a couple of weeks back. Was sorta scary, as in seeing how my friend was on X, compared to how he is sober:\ . Hasn't put me off though.....yet

Yeah I noticed this too... I try to not act 'crazy' and look fucked up... Generally I tend to lean towards chilling on pills now because of that.. I try to find clean pills to help that.. But yeah seeing that shit sober is a turn-off...

Yea, maybe some people look like idiots when there droppin pills. But I don't really care when I see someone rollin I don't get disgusted or anything it just makes me want to roll.

What is this obsession that so many people seem to have about how they look when they are rolling?

Here's a clue: truly happy people don't go around constantly worrying if they are being favorably judged by people that they don't know and will never meet.

Unless you happen to be on somebody's entertainment payroll, worrying about such things is putting your personal definition and self-worth into the hands of total strangers. And what exactly have these total strangers done for you lately? Huh?

But if you really need to worry about looking acceptable then let me add some fuel to the fire. Have you ever seen someone going to the bathroom? Did they look "cool" while they were doing it? Does anyone look "cool" while going to the bathroom?

I've never heard anyone ever say, "Yo! That dude looks totally cool when he's sitting on the crapper!" So I guess not. But chances are you will do this at some point regularly. But no matter what you do, it's not going to look cool!

So there's something to add to the "I'm never going to... becauze it doesn't look cool" list. 8)

Seriously, you have a finite amount of time in which for your life to unfold. You can either gear your life to realizing your own happiness, or you can gear your life so that somebody like "ecstasteve" doesn't spot you, and make a negative judgment about you (and I don't see "ecstasteve" paying your bills at the end of the month). 8(

And let's fact it, whether "ecstasteve" makes a negative personal judgment about you or not, either way you get to go home. But "ecstasteve" always gets to go home looking butt ugly, and worried about whether someone may have judged him negatively in their mind. :D

It's all about having a good time who really cares if people are judging u. I don't really care what other people think of me.

^^^
Exactly!!! And you are happy and have a great time. :D

Those people who go around judging others (the other half of the equasion) have a happiness defect too. Rather than letting go and having a good time, those people are busy at their self-appointed "judging others" job, busily judging others! :D

And at the end of the day, when the party's over and the judgees and judgers go home were either of them any better off for doing a good judgee or judger job. :\

[Sorry, I'm on a roll with this.] :D

Right the fuck on (Invalid Usename) that was one of the most bitchin responses that i've heard in a long time. U get an A+. As for (ecstasteve) i don't understand why u are going to raves because if u understood a little something about raves, u probably wouldn't be so quick to judge.:p

Thanx, PLUR:D

I've been to a rave sober, while watching everyone rolling ballz, and I did feel sick inside looking at them, then someone offered some pills and I took it and felt better :)

I'd never thought of it that way, initially when I read that I was like "Well what about weed?" and then I'm like "oh yeah, stoned people can be annoying", "Well, what about LSD... definatly annoying"... That's quite odd...

Meanwhile all of this shit-
It's all about having a good time who really cares if people are judging u. I don't really care what other people think of me
-I'm sorry, but you guys need to wake up and smell the real world. You're a social animal, you want and need social interaction. You can sit around and tell yourself you don't care about what other people think, but the only people who truely don't care are people with serious mental illnesses. You're designed to care, it is very important to care. You couldn't get a job if you didnt' care, you probably couldn't even hold a 5 minute conversation if you didn't care.

Children learn embarresment sometime between self awearness and 5 years old. It's natural.

My point was I don't care if people are judging me if I am rolling..otherwise yes in the "real world" i do care.

The distinction, BilZ0r, is not caring what strangers who have no stake in your life think about you, as opposed to caring about what your close friends and family think. The latter group serve an important purpose, as they act as a social barometer - the former group is the one I think MidNite Star was referring to.

Exactly I care what people think of me where I work, my friends and family but I don't care much about what the casual stranger thinks about me...Thanx nicely put.

...hmmm... maybe. I still feel it's reasonable to care what strangers think of you... you know, "A stranger's just a friend you haven't met", or an employer, or court judge, or a policeman, or a.....

I stopped drinking almost completely after having to take care of a horribly drunken friend one night whilst I was high on E. I was like: Fucker, you can't even stand but I can carry you...fuck alcohol. hehe I had like two beers the whole summer (substantially down from my previous mode of drinking two beers a day at the least :/)
