The strange case of the man who took 40,000 ecstasy pills in nine years

I'm in no doubt that the guy is fucked up, but 25 a day for 4 years? I don't buy that.

40k pills seems a bit out there, no way to back it up. Sounds like he was dick sizing to me.
 
frankly, i am surprised he is the only documented case. expect more documented insanity to follow, the floodgate has been broken.
 
my ex-partner had eating a craaazy amount of pills in the region of 3-4k they were severly insane... yet appeared completly sane... i think they tortured there own mind...

seen em drop 10 at once before... 40 in the whole day... knew i shouldnt have got them pills oO
 
Nevermind the fact that they're taking his word for the 40,000 number, but they also didn't reveal his name! They call him Mr. A, say they've lost all contact with him, and the reporter wasn't able to find the person either. There's not even a shred of possible evidence that this story isn't completely fabricated!
 
Kind of reminds me of the article out of England a couple years back about the first marijuana overdose. This guy apperently smoked something like six joints a day for many years. The story made big news here in the states for a couple days then died out just as quickly as it popped up. Turned out to be bad fact checking (go figure, American media is bad at checking their facts) and the story was actually from some english tabloid.
 
Thats nuts I haven't done that many but I have consumed a shit ton in my life. maybe into the 2000's or so within the 8 years I used it but not only that. and I know if I did like an average of 6 or 7 a night I couldn't control my bladder like If i wanted to piss something wouldn't register in my brain to go and when It finally did come out there was like no pressure. I dont know how this guy is still alive. Guess he should have been to the responsible drug use site lol bluelight :)

I highly doubt these were Molly (pure MDMA capsules) and thus maybe he was getting high off of another substance (meth or something alike) that people cut pills with.

Many pills are highly adulterated and contain just a borderline dose of MDMA and in addition to that the adulterants range from DXM to MDxx analogues to amphetamines and all kinds of other ill ish...

This guy was dumb no doubt. I am not entirely convinced that 40k is an accurate number but I would say this, it's far from impossible. Fuckin' candykids 'round here eat pills like it's goin' out of style and while no one I know takes 25 a day, I have witnessed an individual consume 30+ pills (good ones, purple butterflies, anyone remember those?) within the period of 24 hours... I wouldn't believe it 'til I saw some documentation, I wish he videotaped it, that would've been great video to show in D.A.R.E.%)

If that guy really did take that many and is complaining from memory problems, I just want to say to him "you dimwit, you ate 40 thousand rolls, what the fuck did you want a nobel prize?"
 
anyone try to look for solid facts. to all the people that think this post is true please stop coming to this forum because i sure as hell am knowing yal come here... average of 25 pills a day over 4 years... think about it...

Well still, doesn't Meth deplete serotonin as well? And mixing DXM and MDMA could cause serotonin syndrome correct?

Even if he had shitty pills containing more Meth than MDMA, his serotonin levels would've still been shot to death a looong time before reaching 40,000 pills. And even if the pills were shitty and the MDMA was low in each pill, he was still supposedly taking 25 a day, so all that MDMA still adds up, and would still deplete serotonin and dopamine.
 
Something about this whole article, while very educational, smacks of sensationalism. I want to see pics of the guy. Maybe even hear him talk.

I find it very difficult to accept, that he took 40k pills in only 9 years, and isn't a vegetable. How much serotonin did the guy have to start off with, for chrissakes?
