We're litterally 100-200 years further into the future than what is currently believed by most all of Mankind. It's just all kept hidden (well, most of it anyway...).
 
An AI model is only as good as the data it's trained on. For instance there are openAI projects that let you make your own story by giving prompts and actions to a cloud powered AI which has been trained on 1000s of novels, it can give you pretty decent responses but it's still often incoherent or forgetting things and it's being powered by a literal warehouse full of servers. (It's really fun though, best one is called AI dungeon, if you pay monthly you get a smarter ai model too)

I think you're getting a lot of your ideas about AI from movies.

Assume for a second that (oral) Low-Dose Methamphetamine is the "Missing Link". That (oral) Low-Dose Methamphetamine is what transformed Neandertahls into Homosapiens:

Now, assume a small, but select group of Individuals (Einstein, et. all) from across the Globe got there hands on it upon it's foundation in the late 1800's. Assume they (secretly) got a giant, GIANT head-start on Evolution and "they" (Now known as the members of the Worlds "Intelligence" Agencies) have secretly been one-step-ahead (More like 100-Steps-Ahead) of the rest of Mankind ever since.

Sort of fits, right?

Einstein was super intelligent because he could learn at the rate of a child throughout his whole life.

I tried snorting some meth through my nose thay was clogged and I could hardly breath through and I felt it actually burn like it used to

And I was able to snort hella lines like I used to LOL

Before having the flu I would snort meth, and it would go through my nose and into my throat, and make me throw up.

So I would have to resort to snorting hot water first which also works
