Bluelight is intended as a Harm Reduction Site-do any of y kiddies know what that means? I have not posted in quite some time, but have read throughout the years. It seems like this place has turned into a WHAT and HOW do I get high and higher site. Sad, especially for all you younger kids, sorry for calling you kids, I'm 32, started bangin h at 16, and guess wghat, mstill fit in it. It is so scary I see all you younger people hooked on these extremely potent and lethal pharmaceuticals. PLEASE, stop, and realize what you are doing before you are too late. I am in no means saying don't have a good time, but please, do yr research, and don't always be trying to dope fiend someone, including the mods, cause if ya haven't heard this one yet, ya can't dope fiend a dope fiend. This post came out of LOVE, and PLUR and R, as all of mine do.

Harm reduction understands that people will use drugs regardless of the consequences, and seeks to minimize the harm associated with that. As a methodology, harm reduction recognizes the shortcomings of "PLEASE, stop" type campaigns, and seeks instead to inform users of the actual risks, so that they might make informed decisions for themselves.

I think Bluelight has, and continues to do a great job at exercising that philosophy.

^ Absolutely. Furthermore, one of the top reasons for threads being closed is because they are asking how to get high. Therefore I don't see how the OP can possibly say that this site has turned into a "how can I get high" forum. Sure, people ask those types of questions, but those threads get closed. Moderators can't stop a person from creating a thread, they can only moderate it afterwards.

I understand, an dreamt no disrespect, I am just looking to better the community for all. And I agree. Just had to voice it, sorry if I stepped on your toes there. Of.

People come to bluelight to do research. Every 'kid' you see here has come to bluelight for answers so as to avoid harm, just like bluelight originally and always has intended. This is in no way a 'what/how do I get high' forum. We have strict rules about such questions and we don't allow them anywhere. What we do allow are 'What is a safe dose for me' and the like, because these are HR focussed threads and the posters have sought bluelight for answers.

The point you're trying to make seems to be harm prevention, i.e. abstinence, and that's a fair view to have, but you must understand that bluelight is not an abstinence site. We run under a philosophy of 'if you have to do it, then do it as safely as possible' which works well and has undoubtedly saved many a life since its founding over a decade ago.

I'm closing this thread since it doesn't belong in OD anyway. If you have further questions I strongly suggest you take them up with senior staff via PM. No better people to talk to than the folk who run bluelight themselves.

^to further Albion's suggestion, this is the sort of discussion that the support forum is used for. we have had some previous discussions similar to this that i will have to try to dig up.
