Where are the ghettos in the South/country?
Memphis, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Louisville, Houston, Dallas, Birmingham, Nashville, and St Louis are all cities that I hear mentioned a lot in southern rap. There are countless small townships full of trailer parks besides the ghettos of the cities. We've got all kinds of Ghettos in the south.

Poverty in the south really sucks because of things like the extreme heat and humidity. No money means many people are sleeping in tents without a/c or fans. Don't get me wrong I enjoy backpacking and camping but being homeless and living in one of the tent cities doesn't sound appealing to me at all. I had a car to sleep in while i was homeless. Now that I'm not homeless anymore I have found alternative ways to get around than a car.

That was what I pictured.

What ghetto was Elvis singing about? LOL.
Elvis was a Memphian. I listen to a whole lot of Memphis rappers and rap groups. I also got all but one of my tattoos in Memphis years ago.

I'm not really a big Elvis fan. I'm more into Lil' Wyte who some in the 3 6 Mafia call "Young Elvis".

I know he was from Memphis. I'm not a big Elvis fan by some standards, but do I like him. I guess there's a ghetto in Memphis.. He probably came from it lol. I do know his family were dirt poor.

What state are you in?

I'm from the largest city in Kentucky so the Tennesseans are distant neighbors.
