The social justice warrior movement and its implications

I am a leftish politically. I have friends on the left that believe that people bitching about PC and SJWs are only bitching because they can not use racial slurs and engage in harassing, sexually degrading behavior towards woman, gays, and others with impunity. Opposition to PC and similar stuff sometimes has a substantive basis that isn't about claiming a right to degrade people. Two links that are a part of this:

The start of this thread was flawed in taking BL to task on a censorship kind of argument. Bluelight is a private organization. No one is compelled to fund BL or participate in it.
State funded universities disciplining students on the basis that someone's feelings were hurt is a sad, bad thing. The test should be would a reasonable person find this behavior degrading or threatening, not someone has hurt feelings, someone is going to be punished.
