My usual pre-propane torch methods involved a little water to dissolve it, then just pour it out into your special drying shot glass (which is just a shot glass). I would cycle through four pipes, so there was usually always liquid in there. If you need to, you can always drink it.

BUT, the one that sounded most clever, but that I never bothered to try (cause really, there ain't much in a single pipe stem--it'll flake rather than keep building), was to put your (dry) pipe in the freezer for a little while (like twenty minutes I think). Then, just blow sharply down the stem. Shit "should" flake right into your bowl.

Like I said, never tried it.

If you do want to use some pointy- or stick-like object to physically scour the stem, try the plastic ink tube in a cheap ball point pen. You might want to heat-crimp it closed first.
 
The freezer thing works, same with the pen tube, which double as mouthpieces for lightbulb pipes.

I started senior year in high school, trying to deal with some trauma, don't ask I won't tell. Ended up losing a full ride college scholarship after going awol for 4 months, I literally fucked up everything in my life over a 2 year period, made alot of money dealing dope, and spent it all on meth, could barely pay my bills most months.

for a proper light bulb pipe, you cut a whole in the cap of a 2 liter bottle to stick the pen body through. the bottle cap screws right on the end of the bulb. i always found the bulbs were too big to use though, it'd all condense around the bulb before you could get a good hit going.
 
I used the 40s, take a cheap pen cut the tube in half, gut the bulb, stuff the tubes side by side in, one a little lower than the other for a carb/loader. Then use tape to seal it, I've got massive lungs though, so might contribute to it. It's an art form tbh.

Lol we had a retailer selling hollowed bulbs as cups for a while here, obviously was just an easy pipe.

Yes I watched the vid lol, was pretty interesting to see.

Damn, I never thought of that. When I used to do it I would take a torch and make a hole in the glass. Very hard to do without cracking. You can waste alot of bulbs that way. I feel dumb now that I never thought of that,so simple.
 
I had a friend who did large waterpipe work and with borosilicate glass an oven or hot closet is required to slowly bring the hot glass back down to room temp.
