A few days ago, sixpartseven announced that he was stepping down from his moderator position.

Throughout the years, he has given us great information and knowledge when it came to harm reduction and drugs. To most of us, he was considered our leader, and a good friend. I have hung out with him on numerous occasions, and he has a heart of gold! If I needed a shirt, he would provide it.

Many of you may be asking yourselves "Why? Why would you step down?" From my understanding, this is a very personal choice that was not easy to make.

I really hope someday that you come back to the site, and continue to provide us with very helpful information and moderation skills.

PS: For some reason, this decision is really hard for me to accept and get over. But again, he's moving on with life, and growing.

Oh man this is gonna be a weird place without 6/7. I'm gonna miss your vodka fueled ramblings. I can only hope you aren't leaving the site entirely but, if you are I'm sure you have your reasons. You did a lot of great work here and helped out countless people. Your good people in my book and I wish you the best.

Thanks for all the love, my friends.

Life has become very very busy for me lately. New girlfriend. New friends. I'm very rarely home, much less around a computer, and I felt like I have been pushing my duties as a moderator to the side for much to long. On top of that, I've lost that fire, that love for drugs that kept interested in discussing them on a daily basis with all you fine folks. I know the love is still there, but at this point in time, I have many important things that put drugs and drug discussion on the backburner.

Maybe in time I will re-kindle this flame and come back as a mod (if the team still wants me back), but who knows. I will definitely be sticking around here and there to keep in touch with all of you, so don't think me stepping down means I will be gone for good.

The remaining OD Staff is an excellent group of people who I know will take OD to great places. Be good to them and respect what they do. This job isn't easy and is completely thankless for the most part. I know for a fact the remaining staff are highly motivated and totally invested in the well-being of the forum, so every decision they make is in hopes of pushing OD in the right direction. If you don't like something they do, cut them some slack and PM them to discuss it maturely. You might be surprised how many situations get resolved quite easily via that route.

Our member basis, especially the regulars, are also top notch, and I ask those of you to help the staff maintain an already awesome forum, and contribute regularly - either on your own or in collaboration with other members or Staff - to help OD evolve, either by creating new FAQ's, mega threads, or projects that can help bring the people together as a community to better the forum.

So this is not goodbye. It's a thank you for the love and respect, and a thank you for being a group of people I have thoroughly enjoyed working with, conversing with, and getting to know well enough to consider you my friends.

Keep doin' what you're doing and keep OD at it's best.

im glad to hear youre doing good brandon. :) thank you for all your work in here. it was definitely appreciated.

in other news, minus the bear is recording a new album (if you didnt know) and will be touring in the fall. im assume they will be around MI or OH sometime, so make plans early! :D ill buy the first shot.
