Intimate innocence
lost in a sense
macabre is the web
waltzed in our head
fault is the bed slept
ambushed in reverance
dreamt of benevolent
rapture soaked elegance
master broken songstress
sing overflowing goblets
quench melancholy contest
inevitably haunted.

Short, and interesting. Your command of the english language is certainly extremely good. Though I found myself wondering what the overall point of this piece was. Is the title an allusion to the novel of the same name?

*edit* Now that I see the inspiration that inspired this piece, I can definately appreciate the way in which your words compliment the haunting nature of the visual work.

It is and it isn't. My inspiration for this was the artistry of Zalibarek. This was my interpretation, of his interpretation, of The Shining. Since many who I have let see this don't know of his work, and are therefore oblivious to what my muse was, I shall post his work along side mine.
