The shelflife of 4-HO-MET

I was given a couple capsules of 4-HO-MET last year; the first one I took at the total wrong time and didn't have a pleasant experience with it... My fault.
I have had the other capsule sat here for about a year or so now and it's coming up to festival time again and it has been sitting in my special box for some time looking left out and sad.

Can anyone tell me if it has an expiry date or anything? Is it safe to take after 18 months or so of being sat in my box; or would it be better to throw it out?

I can't find anything on the internet about it. It doesn't really come by that often, so I don't want my only experience of it to be a bad one. But I don't want to be taking it if it's going to make me shit out my tongue and cough up my knee cap

I think the worst thing that can happen is potency loss, unless of course it's moldy or something..

It may turn brown and lose potency if it's freebase, esp. if it is stored improperly - exposed to heat/light. Otherwise it should be fine.
