The Second Opinion Pic Thread vs SHOW ME YOUR WAR FACE!

thanks :)
it actually came right up next to us, about 10 feet away. I think it smelled our lunch. It was kinda far away by the time we got out the camera though. I saw a brown bear last year on a different hike too. I've also seen many moose's and deer. Its crazy how much large animal life there is in Yosemite valley.

Yup. It's kind of funny though. Cause it looks like some random person is in the "back seat."

Sometimes, you just need to stop and smell the flowers!

Wow, yeah I think I'd probably shit myself if I came across a bear...
Meanwhile here in Aus we have a vast array of some deadly creatures ourselves! But ours are mostly so small and well-hidden that you don't actually SEE them until they've bitten you and you're dying, or sometimes you never see them at all, you just die :D :| e.g. Funnel Web, box jellyfish, irukandji jellyfish, stone fish, etc.

Man, you sure make Australia sound like a LOVELY place to visit! :|

Seriously though, I'm sure it'd be awesome if you can get past that sneaky devil thing. :)

And I'd LOVE to come across a bear. Something about those big bastidz really gets me all hawt and bothered.

You should talk to captainballs sometime ryan ;)

Unless you're in a car, and able to get away post haste, meeting a wild bear in the flesh is something generally to be avoided. More often or not they'll try to avoid people, but if you wander into a male grizzly's territory, come across a hungry black bear, or by some misfortune get to within 10 meters of a cub, you're pretty well fucked.

Domesticated bears are pretty chill though. Few and far between though.

I love Torrey Pines! Whenever I go down to Del Mar I walk from where Del Mar beach starts, to there. Such a fabulous walk.

That area is just absolutely beautiful, isnt it? Nice picture up there, Goddess. You got La Jolla in the background! One of my absolute favorite places in all of California. For anyone who's been down there/lives close by/or is going soon, check out Harry's Cafe. Have a banana milk shake and you'll thank me for years to come ;)
