The ocean of my head
And so I must ask
Am I to you what you are to me?

Do I pierce through the woes of your day
that consume you like prey
Or do they take your head to a land in which I'll never live?

Do I see you like you see me?
Do you see me like I see me, I think not
I'm like a rock at the bottom of the sea
Forgotten by you as the frigid tides
wear me down out of your life.

My beauty is consumed by your life's troubles
It is a chore of you to think of me
But how is it that you're all I think about
When you should mean nothing to me.

Everyday is a new stride
To be something to you, and I ask
Is it worth it to me?

And then I remember all that we've taken from eachother
I wish to never have spoken your name.

I wish to be woren down by the chrome tide
And to never have known the beauty of you
To take back everything I had
Before I found out I loved you.
