the S&G social thread!

yeah ocarina of time sure brings back memories of sitting Indian style in the living room with my homework in the other room and its wayy past my bed time, I still have the game somewhere along with my nintendo 64 and every other nin64 game I own.
When Donkey Kong 64 came out and you needed that special booster pack thing to play I thought that graphics couldn't get any better!! lol how silly I was.
I still remember' bringing that along with my gameshark over to friends house and feeling like i fit in..(before i started doing drugs..lol)
yea bombo we talked about it earlier, I enjoyed the desert castle lol or that stage of the game, now the water temple, that's where u gotta fight that water boss and move around on those little platform things? i think so.. lol
oh yeah, and fishing. many countless hours spent there nothing but fishing, even when my family went to the lake, id just sit in the RV and fish on ocarina of time,.. lol..

I've yet to fucking play Fallout 3 or new vegas.. I really want to.. I'm afraid if I buy the game i'll just get sooooo wrapped up into it like every other RPG game and my life responsibilities will go entirely to shit (missing work,etccccc..).

sorry your job sucks that bad neighbormike, there's tons of people who'd trade their back breaking labor job for a job like yours...

I'm currently playing Warcraft 3, TFT. Yeah I'll play a game a day, and keep my mind somewhat active, guess if I can learn strategies and win then maybe i'll make smarter decisions in real life?

Any notable titles that you've tested? How does that work anyway? Just looking for bugs or can you actually say "Dude this map fucking blows". I've always wondered that because it seems that in any FPS multiplayer game there's always those 2 maps that everyone hates.

Ds I'd recommend New Vegas for ya. You can drag it out as long as you want or just end it and still get a fun story from it. A lot of the guys I work with even 50+ play games and they all get there moneys worth. All of them played for months while I cruised through it in a few weeks and still loved it. This game def lets ya do what you want and if you beat it too early you can always replay because there are a few different endings depending on the faction you go with.

Yeah I work for EA, as far as what i can talk about. nothing obviously

You look for lots of stuff....are stadiums the right color, are the physics of something normal

Like if youre playing grand theft auto you should be able to hop around like a bunny cause thats not the physics of a human or whatever

we look for cheese goals/strats in sports game, things like that

And as a QA tester we really dont have much imput anyhow, they send us builds of games and we basically just make sure they work

i've been meaning to play it!! i have the game but my xbox isn't back from Microsoft yet. they are still working on it. i'm sure it could have been fixed a lot sooner by watching a youtube video or something,. i paid extra for the warranty on the thing so might as well use it before it expires.

I started my RPG back with Diablo, then Diablo 2, on to Diablo 2:Lords of Destruction. spent about 4 years of my life playing that shit nonstop.. then World of Warcraft hits the scene, got into that. then drug habit became more expensive then the cost of wow monthly fee..
then i picked up Fable: the lost chapters, Fable 2, Oblivion, Fable 3, and now waiting for Fallout 3.

I've playd a few other rpgs like runescape, dragonage, shit pokemon lol. so there's not a rpg i'm not somewaht familiar with.

I'm sorta stuck on PC games now, which isn't bad. but man miss the controller in my hands ya kno?
 
I have it on good authority that UPS actually has your xbox. Believe it or not so many fucked up it was actually cheaper to have UPS fix them in house then send them all to M$. I believe they have similar arrangements with companies like Dell. So next time you ask "what can brown do for you?" you can apparently answer fix my xbox.

Meaning I could have gave my xbox to a local computer repair shop and send the tab to microsoft?.. woulda saved me the hassle of going threw so much freekn bubble wrap... lol

theres no such place like dell around here, theres like bestbuys n shit.. im guessing u ment take it to like a dell shop? or something?

ehh 1800 4 my xbox ehehehe so clever.
 
oh yeah the fishing hole in OoT was my shit. although i was an avid user of the sinking lure. i really wish i still had twilight princess but i sold it for a fix =/. i was only 1 temple deep too.
i mention this cuz one thing i was really stoked about in that game was the fishing, is that sad? i LOVED how there were different species that you can catch, i was excited about the time wasting possibilities lol.

about fallout 3... lincoln rifle? i think i did read about that, its abraham lincolns rifle right? dont you gotta steal it from a museum? i ended up getting the mayor of megaton killed by that shady dude in the pub right at the beginning, and his chinese assualt rifle is my weapon of choice right now.
im not very deep at all into the game though. my current main story quest is to get the radar dish for that radio station. ive been pretty wrapped up in the various side missions. i especially love the wasteland survival guide lady!

i also like to play my outdated nba 2k10 quite a bit tbh. ive got a roster downloaded that has last seasons rookies, and i love to fantasy draft season mode.
if anyone else does the same ill say my current starters are steve nash, gilbert arenas, danny granger, andrey blatche, and cole aldrich. i play as the wizards, were 2 games outta first in the east, almost to the allstar break.

No I'm saying that when you send your xbox UPS it never goes to m$. UPS fixes and returns it. It's logistics:|

hey perk i could never really get into basketball games, i got into one, its where you can push and shove people lol.

ive been thinking about getting back into starcraft, and get starcraft 2. i used to play sc:bw all the time back when i was playing diablo everyday. i'd be running a mf bot on diablo whle playing a 2v2 fastestgreen map on bw, by the end of the day if i'm not doing all that great on starcraft atleast i might have found something good on my magicfind runs with diablo.
 
Finally reached 15th Prestige Level 50 in Black Ops :) Now just went and bought Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 3DS..Fuck yea!

i'm now looking into nintendo 64 emulators. i'd like to replay Ocarina of time, since I don't have a controller for my computer i wonder how the controls are going to feel.

i've been thinking bout dusting off my copy of roller coaster tycoon and see if i can get back into it.

Project64 is the end all be all of N64 emulators. the controls arent too bad on a keyboard, id suggest trying it out. you can map the controls to whatever you want, i forget what my set up was since its been a while.
i highly suggest dusting tycoon off man, since you just inspired me to do the same. a good chunk of my life was spent on RCT and similar games (zoo, etc.)

yeah perkecet, ive gotn back into the tycoons for now lol. i've been playin RCT corkscrew folies n loopy landscapes, i got the RCT2 but shit man i dunno, its so much diffrent then RCT, like really weird, i guess they got to hightech with all the functions n shit lol, shit gets really agravating at times, i gota save frequent when im doin really good cuz i kno some bad shits going to happen.

I also have Ski Resort Tycoon + SRT2. they are pretty fun, with these you can type in cheats n get money n stuff. but sorta pointless. but there are times when im like FUCK IT and cheat lol, then the game gets old. so tryn 2 not cheat these times.

there are no cheats for rc that u can "enter" lol, so guess that what makes it such a fun game.

I've been wanting to find park? tycoon, where u like make a parkk lol umm, like nature park? so theres no rc's. 4got the name..

Man I'm seriously thinking about copping a 3DS now. Looks pretty damn cool especially with all the remakes that they are doing. JoshE or anyone else that has one, would you recommend it? Pros and cons? How cool is the 3D?
 
Funny or Die's parody skit on the NFL lockout - starring Taylor Lautner, Kevin Kostner, and Ray Lewis... amongst others. a big-time lol in my book. I heard ESPN played it live today, which is awesome for the hilariously awesome Funny or Die comedy crew
 
Anyone playing Magicka? Picked it up for the price of a cheeseburger the other day. I haven't had a chance to play it yet but it looks like a fun little time waster?
