the role of baking soda in crack

Wikings... If your speed has been cut, then burning it is very much a waste, or at least this is what i've found...
Your in NZ, rock speed should be easy to come by, and should cost you no more... In our end of the world lou is only cut to maximise profits by dodgy arse dealers...
Just my 2c...

idiots guide: for the most part cocaine as a hcl will decompose before it vaporizes...just basify with naoh and then extract into ether...the end

Hmm...
i still don't understand the sole role of baking soda in making crack.
i suppose i'll have to do research myself on this.
thanks y'all for participating..

The baking soda isn't IN the crack. The HCl is stuck to the cocaine, and the only way to "unstick" it is to introduce a substance which is more attractive to the HCl than cocaine is.
One such element is sodium, and a readily available source of sodium is baking soda.

Geezer--thanks for BRIEFING me...thats all i needed
