Staring through foggy streaked windows, I wait to see him.
Pacing absent mindedly, eyeing the marble floor,
Eager to see the one I know as "Shorty."
Two years, a lost friendship put aside.-
The plane lands. Slow and calm he steps through the gate.
He looks my way, sporting a Cheshire cat grin.
Sprinting towards me, stopping to eye me face to face.
And with a gut bursting hug of forgiveness, lost brothers bond.
How was I to know, in days, he was to die.
Six rophies and a bottle of red blush wine.
I wonder which way did my late brother fly?
My mind often thinks back to the time,
In the terminal healing each other's heart,
Just as the next plane sets to depart.
