brother brother i have sinned
saw the color of a good man's skin
i walked a mile to cleanse my hands
but the revenant crossed me with his plans

hanging from a willow tree
will i die or will i bleed?
the smoke around is burning red
the noose fit tight around my neck

the more i pray the sky come down
my feet get further from the ground
the voices in my head grow weak
and the dybbuk stretches in my feet

once a denizen of hell
but i came back to tell my tale
why the wanderers picked on me
and left me dangling from a tree

tightly fitted in my skin
here to trot the earth again
and wherever it is i may go
every mile i'll count to losing sin

Nice flow to this, the struggles we go through life and it seems a rebirth of sorts with this piece.. nice :)

I like this. There's some real sophistication in your phrasing and imagery. And the rhymes work very well - very rhythmic.
