oh my god you know about sherry you old woman

i might make that though and just eat it. always always loved marzipan.

edit: what can you do with yolks when you're only using the whites? or do you just chuck them?
I only use it for cooking, it makes food taste good =P
No point using awful shit sherry though.

yeah i've only ever used it for cooking tbh. me and faith did some sort of chicken thing with it but we ended up drinking it all before her bloke got home and the entire thing tasted awful

now egg nog has come to mind

I did a bit of a search and discovered a recipe for eggless egg nog. I'm gonna give it a bash in a bit. If it tastes like shite I'll just add more brandy. :)

EDIT: Actually, fuck that. There's only a bit of the good brandy left. I'll use the rum instead.

Silken tofu.

I've just had my first glass. Not bad, bit too sweet for my tastes though. I'll try it with regular soy milk next time, rather than almond milk.

Here it is:

pretty! never heard of silken tofu, i do like my eggs tho so gonna persuade mother to help me make some over the weekend given as i'm prone to disaster in the kitchen.

and i can't afford the booze

Silken tofu is usually used in Salad dressings, sauces and desserts for a thick and creamy texture. The regular kind of tofu is mostly used in stir fries, or any dish where you will want the tofu to retain its shape. :)

Copy and pasting from a website is boring, anyone can look those up.

Thought everyone here was posting home recipes, oh well.

I didn't copy and paste from a website I copied from my new BBC Good Food book. ;)

Those are recipes which I made recently and if you think everyone is creating their own brand spanking unique recipes you are seriously deluded. Every recipe had to come from somwhere.

Oh I know not everyone's creating from scratch. But people have made something from a recipe then added their own little contribution to improve it.

The ones I've posted (not many) have all been my own creations :D

Some of stuff I post is stuff I've came up with or modified but I get the inspiration from a book or online. Would be a shame not to share some of the wonderful recipes I've tried just because I didn't create them.
