An old acquaintance once had for a sig: "The opposite of love is not hate, it is apathy." It's a quote from some philosopher I think, and I find it to be entirely true. Speaking as someone who has been completely mired in apathy (and who is sliding back in to that quagmire), I say care. About anything, everything. Love, hate, scream, laugh, but don't stop caring. The most hateful word to me these days is 'meh', and it's one that I find myself saying and thinking far too often. Don't follow that path. Instead, live.
