Guess we've all got jenkem and krocodil to look forward to now...
Probably still better than the current range of goofy RC drugs.
If its anything like Australia's love affair with meth it may start off self sufficient but soon demand outstrips the supply of domestic pseudoephedrine and imports will happen. Tonnes of the stuff are imported here as is pre made meth. And thats with Australias tiny population. So eventually if it does take off imports will be necessary. To me the only logical progression is for a mass focus on customs and importation which would, if effective, cut the current industry off at the head (large scale domestic distributors) and the ankles (the end users). Definitely something this laughably disconnected disgrace of a parliament would get behind with vigour.
As a result we may see "in-house" domestic clandestine synthesis of popular drugs, RC or otherwise, to fulfill the demand of a rainy little island with widespread cultural psychotropic consumption.
Meth may finally take off here, it'd be the simplest way to make ridiculous sums of money without ever having to import a thing...
I will be surprised if as Sprout says meth doesn't make an appearance on a much bigger scale. Its a proven money maker for organised crime. Its easy to make, very addictive and super powerful. I would say there is a far greater chance of meth being made than 3FPM. I have never had 3FPM but i doubt it compares to meth amphetamine as a stimulant.I recon 3-FPM will be here to stay, unlike most of the other RC's that'll just vanish.

See FUBARs comment aboveI can't comment on the latter, but 3-FPM does have some unique qualities to it, that a lot of other stimulants just don't have.
Bring on the meth! May as well do things properly
At least it's known how to make meth properly, I don't think anyone's figured out how to make consistent good quality 3fpm yet - though they're getting there slowly...

I will put money on the fact that it dissapears when this ban comes into effect in April. It may take a few months as there will be supplys to be used up but really will people risk importing it or making it there? How big a market does it really have? I bet it wont be around much longer.Quite agree - its certainly unique. I've never known another stimulant that also has empathogenic, hallucinogenic and sedative qualities and just keeps going and going and going without making you want to die when you come down.
How do you mean?
The new legislation is focusing on stopping the production and sale of legal highs, so currently there is no personal possession offence.

It may be more appropriate to say that 3-FPM is enjoyable enough and unique enough to stand on its on its own merit if it became as well known and as available as the common street stimulants.
Maybe but it simply isnt that well known apart from a tiny niche of online users. If organised crime were to decide to make or import a stimulant for the black market do you think it would even be in the conversation? No way. The subject would be amphetamines or methamphetamine. Proven money spinners that are easy to make.It may be more appropriate to say that 3-FPM is enjoyable enough and unique enough to stand on its on its own merit if it became as well known and as available as the common street stimulants.
Being caught in possession of a "Legal High" will not be an offence under the new Psychoactive Substances Act, if I understand it correctly. So, again for clarity, the police are going to have trouble working out at street level what bag of powders is legal & what isn't. Given that herbal cannabinoids often look liker actual herb, it might even be possible to fool the oinks that you have a bag of legal-to-possess herbal highs instead of illegal weed!
