The psych that isn't real: Lucid Dreams

Ah I got to write a final on lucid dreaming earlier this year. I love being able to actually get into my topics :)

I got into Tibetan dream yoga for a while last year, which was pretty interesting. It gets kinda intense however, theres a wealth of information available through the internet. Also, check out the writing of Stephen LaBerge if you haven't. He's a cool fellow. John Allan Hobson has some interesting things to say, but he takes a much more rigid scientific approach.

I haven't been too focused on lucid dreams for a bit, I feel the urge to hop on that train again.

Dreams are weird, huh?

Damn straight :)

I tend to have lucid dreams most night, and have since I was a child- I like it, but because I have nightmares most nights, its kinda tiring. I'm often relieved to wake up.

That said, I don't know about this waking up stuff, because my dreams feel more real then what I feel right now....

Woah, that just gave me an surge of existential panic....I'm gonna keep pretending this relaity is the real one I think.

Woah, another surge. Need to meditate and have cheezeburger...

I got really close to being in a lucid dream once. I was in a room being interrogate by cops (the light was on) so I went to turn it off and it wouldn't turn off, just like in Waking Life. Unfortuantely, though, my mind must have gotten jacked into some other dream because I can't remember it.

I'm going to try working on this lucid dreaming thing, I've got it in principle. I just need to flip light switches every now and then, if it won't turn off I'll know what to do.

Most of my sexual dreams have been lucid ones. Typically a dream starts off normally then it gets very detailed so much so that I can feel textures and the likes, then I can control most actions.
