Troubadour
Bluelighter
Ground, trunk, branches, seeds
Fruit, flowers, hummingbirds, bees
We cleave to these in need
But none of them depend on me
Rivers, lakes, prairies, seas
Ponds, fields, wind, creeks
We cleave to these in need
But none of them depend on me
Sun, moon, gravity, time
Air, ozone, light, sky
But try as I might to find
None of these need you nor I
Speak, think, touch, hear
Taste, smell, walk, peer
Yet of all the life far or near
Only the precious dust reflects the tiers
Can the trees see the wind can blow--
As the sower that sows the seeds can know?
Did the leaves feel the light had shone--
Before the fruit was ripe and fully grown?
Fruit, flowers, hummingbirds, bees
We cleave to these in need
But none of them depend on me
Rivers, lakes, prairies, seas
Ponds, fields, wind, creeks
We cleave to these in need
But none of them depend on me
Sun, moon, gravity, time
Air, ozone, light, sky
But try as I might to find
None of these need you nor I
Speak, think, touch, hear
Taste, smell, walk, peer
Yet of all the life far or near
Only the precious dust reflects the tiers
Can the trees see the wind can blow--
As the sower that sows the seeds can know?
Did the leaves feel the light had shone--
Before the fruit was ripe and fully grown?
