I lack the creative flair that you really need to be a good photographer, I'm just not a creative person unfortunately... Pffft composition... The main reason why I want to get decent at photography is so I can take better pics when I'm on my travels, do the temples and amazing buildings and what have you that I see some sort of justice...

Don't be silly :|. Read felix' thoughts:

composition is probably the most important thing to get right, i reckon... it only takes a second to think about the composition

Good advice - take it in order to achieve wonderous holiday snaps ;).

You have a mighty good eye, girl - a mighty good eye indeed :)

I'm sure you have good other things too, but eyes'll do me for now:).

I was joking about the composition I know it's very important. :)

But I generally don't have a creative spark. I'm not good at thinking out shots. I mean if I see something that I want to take a picture of I can take one and make it reasonably alright with a little thought BUT when it comes to photo competitions and such like and there's a given topic I find it difficult to think of a subject to capture or an interesting way to capture the subject if I do manage to think of one. Understand?

Hopefully I'll learn with this photography course I've signed up for, starts in December, still waiting for them to get back to me actually.

I do indeed :). But if you simply start taking a camera with you everywhere you go (well, you know) and snap stuff then you start to see things afresh eventually. There's a fresh perspective on everything if you look hard enough. You can even use the macro setting if you like :). Ask Tribal for details ;).

Ignore me. Cunted. Bed soon.

Why do you insist on changing the name of the person in the quote thing? :p

Yeah I guess the more photos you take the better but there's no denying that some people are naturally more creative than others. As you mentioned tribal_girl it's obvious she has a creative streak, her photos for the comps etc are always excellent. Well thought out, well captured and interesting. She's good at it and I'm sure she's worked hard to get so good at it but you can see she has a creative spark as well.
