The Photography Thread: Double Exposure

i love those last three. :)

the sharpness of Damien's is amazing. tell me about your lens, please!

i keep seeing faces in things wherever i go. this gas cooker thing in an abandoned house is looking decidedly ":|". :D

i'm gonna add that theme to the SO photo contest list if it's not there already.

since i've moved into my house, i've been meaning to take a pic or two of the tree in my front yard when it's in bloom. i finally got a chance to do it before the weather turned back to shit over the weekend. it is one of my favorite colors, too.

I've been fiddling with my camera, trying to get the background really out of focus so its a stark contract to the foreground.. but no idea how to do it.

Pretty sure I can do that with one click on something on Picassa Edde.

Sharpness of D's picture is incredible. That's a proper camera.

Lumix DMC-TZ5.
Its not an SLR so I can't change the lens, but the one it has is a 28mm Leica.

^ hahah awesome thank you. My lens can be soft but I've found that if it's in as much focus as possible a little bit of sharpening with photoshop can do wonders. But if the picture is blurry all it does is add noise.

Yeh soft skin portrait.

use that with the macro setting, and you should be good. :)

that setting works with my FS5, but i use the manual settings on my FZ18.

eta: eDDe9, check out this page. lumix's pages are pretty helpful in telling you how to get what sort of shots they've gotten with what cameras, which is how i figured out how to take the pic that i did. :) <3

I just like the pretty colours! When I was quite little my granny she really did see a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow and I was convinced it was true, because granny's don't lie.

felix, did you post an online guide a while back, highly recommending Spade takes a look at it to get the most out of his new cam. If it was you, can you post the link again please?
