I see Bluelight has threads where we can share street prices on various drugs, but what about the "official" market price of drugs we pick up at the pharmacy?
Sometimes we get scripted but don't have insurance, in which case it's helpful to know if your corner pharmacy is actually giving you a good price, or if you're better off shopping around.
For instance, I'm currently switching insurance, so when I pick up my monthly dilaudid script, I may have to pay out of pocket and eventually get my new insurance to reimburse me.
So i was curious and asked the pharmacist, "just how much will 180 pills of 8mg generic hydromorphone cost me without insurance?"
$211.
Considering what people are paying for it on the street, that's a downright bargain.
This was at a CVS pharmacy. I'm curious what the price would be elsewhere, or what do 4mg pills cost?
Anyway, if this is of interest to fellow Bluelighters, please use this thread to post the pharmaceutical prices of various substances. I could see it coming in very handy.
