Opioids **The Oxycodone Mega Thread.** - Can't find your thread? Its in here.

So I took 30mg's for the first time in 2 months and got high as a kite :). Added another 15mg's for good measure and couldn't sleep all night.

So then the next day I just wasted a ton of them and got way to high I guess.

Then 30mg's at a time worked great the following 2 days even after the binge.

So what should I do invest in a micron filter and go by a syringe rofl....

Becauase the day I binged on them I cant remember any of it, I think I actually had a head ache that wouldn't go away so I kept taking more. That combined with benzo's=no recolection. -----i'm just thinking now how many I could of possibly saved, probably alot.

Delayed oxycontin high

Hello, I am new and I have my first question. I hope I've done everything correctly, if not, please have pity on me.

So, I took an 80mg oxy around 11 last night. I sucked the time release coating off as usual, then chewed it up and swallowed it. I have never eaten one before, I have always snorted but my nose has been fucked up lately. Normally, I just snort a whole 80 and that gets me moderately high within a few minutes and lasts maybe 2-4 hours. However tonight, I didn't feel anything for an hour, and then only a buzz. I went to sleep at 1 disappointed just thinking that my tolerance was just going up. However, I just woke up at 3 am and I am pretty damn high. It has never ever taken this long and I am at a loss as to how it happened. I ate a meal around 9 that night but that was a good 2 hours before I ate the pill. Could it just be all the food in my stomach though? I guess it's possible it could have kicked in right after I went to sleep, but that would still mean it took at least 2 hours to really kick in. Any thoughts? Sorry if this is a really dumb question, but I don't want to sleep now and I wanted to make use of this new account. Thanks in advance for answers!

moving right along...

Oxycodone is a very effective drug when taken orally. You actually get more out of it this way than snorting it (as the BA is higher).

It took longer to hit you because drugs don't kick in instantaneously when you take them sublingually and/or orally.

It's no wonder you were disappointed. Time until onset of effects is often an indicator of a drug's and it's corresponding route of administration's relative addictiveness.

Try taking the drug orally, about an hour or two before you want to get high (instead of snorting it 15-30 minutes before you want to get high) and you should have similar results.

Plus, instead of having pity on you, I'd rather just merge your thread in with the OC mega thread. ;)

the coating isnt the time release its how the pill its self is designed.. but chewing it up good should have broke the time release.. perhaps you didnt chew it into a fine enough powder for it to be instant release? maybe you had a few chunks that still had the time release working so that would make it so it has a delayed reaction.. thats the only thing i can think of..

So... I've been doing oxy for about a year now, about the last four months of that everyday. I typically shoot up about 60 mg as one dose. When I first started shooting oxy, the high lasted anywhere from 3 to 4 hours. Now, I'm high maximum of an hour sometimes less. Has this happened to anyone else? What would be the best way to potentiate the length of the high?

Thanks for the info on what to expect when taking orally. Totally makes sense, just didn't think that it would take that long but now I know it does. gracias

Cimetidine and white grapefruit juice should work to a degree by inhibiting oxycodone's metabolization, but IMO the best way to combat this is to get your tolerance down to a more reasonable level.

Tolerance could also be playing a part, infact I would bet on it. now that you are using every day, it's taking more and more to get you to where yo once were, hence why your high is only lasting a short time. Your body is used to that dose, so you will no longer get what you once did.

Is there a reason you shoot them? Have you tried taking a dose orally? The BA% is around 90% when taken orally, and by shooting, you only get that extra little bit.

When IV, the high is very short, a fraction of what it would be when taken orally. I suggest try dosing orally, and see how that goes.

The green coating IS the time release.

Nope. The color coating on the outside has nothing to do with the time release. The pill itself has the time release into it. Hence why you have to crush it up/chew it up when taken orally to bypass the time release.

Then why does everyone take the coating off before they snort or smoke it?

Because there is no need to have the coating entering your system when all you have to do is wipe it off. It is a nuisance that can be fixed. Understand?

Personally I take the coating off to snort because it tastes like shit. It's pretty thick too so no matter what you're doing it should be removed because it's just more filler. I know plently of people that just grind up an 80 coating and all for insufalation.

^depends on your tolerance, dose, how long its been, etc

i couldnt possibly tell u if its 'cool' or not. how much did u smoke? how high are you? its way to hard to give u a good answer

best i can say is wait awhile and then see how u feel before taking any
