Opioids **The Oxycodone Mega Thread.** - Can't find your thread? Its in here.

^ The malli's suck, there still 80's but you can't snort them, well technically you can but they gel up more than the other generics so I never bothered, If I were you I would just parachute them, thats what I did when I had em

hey does anyone know about a link between oxy use and hearing loss? anyone experience this? rush limbaugh was talking about it, but i've never heard anyone else mention it.

How to sleep on oxy?

I might be rare but instead of sedating me oxycodone keeps me awake and in higher doses raises my blood pressure and makes my heart pound....part of why I wanted the Dilaudid instead. Didnt get it yet, but I have another month of oxy for my pain (which I really have).

I find that I have trouble sleeping on oxy, even in non recreational doses. What would you use to help you sleep?

I have ativan and Benadryl and loads of tinctures, but ever since I had a few close calls some years back I have learned to be extra cautious instead of just experimenting like they are jelly bellies....Man...I used to brew up random plants and wild mushrooms just to see if I could get an effect, and often I did. Now I am ultra cautious about that stuff maybe to the point of being OCD about it.

So what is good for knocking you out without the risk of overdoing the respiratory depression?

Like Benadryl?

The thing is, the oxy keeps me up long after the peak is over and I have to take these on a daily basis for pain...so Im not super euhporic but if I dont sleep until 5am I am worthless the next day.

Would the Benadryl potentiate the oxy as well as help me sleep?

yup it would definitely make it work better, the benadryl that is. Like the first person to reply said, most ppl dont want to sleep on an opiate (and nodding doesnt count) so just wait and hopefully someone will have had this problem and reply

OC use and possible withdrawal

I take about 40 mg of oc's a day and dhave been doing so for about a month.

I snort about 30 mgs of it and orally take 10 mgs a day. If i were to stop and maybe substitue it with something else for a little while would i have bad withdrawals? For how long would I have withdrawals and what would I experience??

I'd love to hear personal experiences even if they are way more intense than my own.

Billy

Your habit is definitely on the lower end of the scale.you can probably get through the withdrawal with common OTC aides like loperamide. You're in America,so low dose over the counter Codeine doesn't seem like an option, unless your state sells the weak codeine cough syrup over the counter.

Im hoping to get down to a habit like yours so I can jump off.I might even go lower.Have you considered tapering and jumping off cold turkey?

shit, my girlfriend used to have a 600mg a day IV habit, thats a crazy amount of OC to do in a day.

Question about railing an oxy

Hey all.... it's been a long time since I've graced the walls of this place (under a different name), but I instantly thought of you all when a question came up that I need answered.

I am writing a novel and my character is railing an Oxy. I need to describe the process, but since I've never done it I don't know how it feels. I know why it is crushed up, I know that there is a waxy substance that should be removed (right?), but what I don't know is how it FEELS. Does it hurt? How does it smell? How long does it take to kick in?

Right now, in my story, the line hurts the character ... fire, pain, etc. I think that is the case with a Vicodin, but is it the case with an oxy? The person is a first timer, so would that be any different?

Also, later I have him mixing the oxy with a Xanax, crushing them together. Has anyone done this before? How would this feel? What would the effects be?

You guys all rock ... I appreciate any of your input.

take care and be safe :)
