Greetings, fellow users and perusers!
I'm TheEuphoric, a 28 year old male living by the beautiful beaches in the Tidewater region of Virginia. I've long chronicled my experiences with substances in other venues, so I'm excited to explore the writings and forums found here. I used to get paid to drive up and down the East Coast, visiting microbreweries and reviewing their beers. In short, I literally got paid to travel and drink delicious craft brews. It was amazing and afforded me the opportunity to investigate other substances found around America. I previously used drugs for the cliched "escaping reality", but with over the years, I've reached the opinion that reality is a wonderful, fascinating thing, and using substances to alter it enables us to better explore and understand its multifarious facets.
I later settled down and taught Middle and High School English for a few years before my objections to and dissatisfaction with the administration overshadowed the joy of my job. After leaving the profession, I got wrapped up in some illicit activities that resulted in a two-and-a-half year stint behind bars. As a result of that experience and in the interest of continuing my psychoactive explorations, I have joined this site to learn about legal alternatives to my old mainstays. I still indulge in opiates, cocaine, and amphetamines every so often, but with the smorgasbord of herbs and powders I've recently discovered online, such indulgences will likely diminish if these new substances prove effective.
Hallucinogenics frequently freak me the fuck out, so I stay well away from them. I'm all about body highs, mental euphoria, sedation, and stimulation. With the right people during a stress-free week, I may nosh on some shrooms, but that's the extent of it. One substance I've yet to try is pure MDMA. I experimented with Ecstasy back in the day, but those were the days of adulterated pills as opposed to the increased purity I've heard of with the Molly crazy these days. I'm curious to know how much of a "trip" it really is because that information will decide whether or not I try it.
Substances aside, I'm currently a bartender and a writer. The writing is mostly soulless corporate and commercial stuff right now, but it pays the bills and enables me to do writing I really enjoy in my off time. I lift weights a lot and exercise with my girlfriend, who also enjoys exploring psychoactive experiences with me. I read a lot, play the occasional video game (currently indulging a fit of nostalgia with an original PS1 and a copy of Final Fantasy 7), and piddle around in the basement where I store the vehicles and gadgetry necessary for my secret career as a world-saving superhero.
Anyway, that's me in a long-winded nutshell. The girlfriend will be out of town this weekend, so I plan on poking around the site to familiarize myself with it while she's gone. I'm interested in seeing the sections so I know where my posts should go, who are staff members and how I identify them, all the forum basics like that. I look forward to getting to know you all and benefiting from your experiences and sharing my own!
Quick question:
Is profanity allowed? I have no intention of rampant repeated cursing, but a well-placed expletive can add emphasis and vehemence when needed.
