It's the way your fingers
gently brush my skin
and you're the only one
who makes me feel like
you're touching ME
and not just the surface of my body.
It's the way your eyes
stare deep into mine
and you're the only one
who can read my soul
even when I don't know what it's saying
and then giving me yours.
It's the way your body
hugs mine so close
and you're the only one
where we're not doing each other
we're feeling each other, breathing each other,
being each other.
It's the way your smile
melts my heart just a little
breathes oxygen onto the tiny
flickering flame of hope
struggling to survive in my soul
could your love make it grow?
Baby, I feel all these things
but ever so dimly
my heart has starved itself for so long
I don't know if it can love anymore
I don't know if love is enough
but wherever I go, you're still the only one...
