The Official Recommend New Tunes to People Thread

just getting into dis EDM. I really like speedcore, and Deadmau5 is pretty good too. All i really have nao is deadmau5 and m1dy, so just reccommend anything similar, mainly gabber/speedcore though.

Hello,

Never been big into electronic music. Went to Rainbow Serpent this year and my mind really clicked with what I heard. Now I feel like I need to have a fairly large collection of psychedelic trance but I don't know where to start.

Please recommend some good, weird, experimental trance. Or just good, weird, experimental music in general.

I need to broaden my horizons.

Thanks,
-tD

I missed RSF this year but I plan to go next year (haven't been in years!)

Check out Shpongle, OTT, Spoonbill, Protoculture, Orion, Ticon, Etnoscope, Infected Mushroom (their older stuff), Parasense, Seroxat, 1200 Mics, GMS, Astrix, Vibrasphere...

I gotta head out to work now... but there's just a few off the top of my head... I would think having liked what you heard at RSF you'd like some more progressive styles of Psy... but there's a bit of a variety in the artists I mentioned...

Enjoy :)

Thom yorkes new stuff

have you guys heard

"hearing damage"

"all for the best"

"Hollow Earth"

or

"Feeling pulled apart by the horses"

FLEA rocks the bass, nigel godrich (the producer plays synths) and studio percussionists do the rest. PLEASE WATCH THESE

new music-need inspiration!

Hi everyone,

I've just joined bluelight & was hoping you might be able to help me. I LOVE dance music... my favourites are Carl Cox, leftfield, the chemical brothers, underworld, the prodigy, faithless, daft punk, massive attack.....& my minds gone blank....!

Anyway, what I'm wondering is if anyone could recommend some new DJ's, acts ect.. using what I like already as inspiration. I love leftfield because they are exactly that. my favourite chemical brother's album is Exit Planet Dust, you know those first three songs, how they blend perfectly, & ur listening to them.. anticipating the next brilliant part coming up...bliss! Anyway I hope someone understands what I'm on about..i love anything different, but cool without trying too hard...I can't wait to see what everyone else likes & what they think I'd like.

Cheers guys& girls! xx

orbital for sure, maybe some crystal method. also tricky came to mind when u mentioned massive attack. by new i hope u mean acts u weren't aware of and not new as in recent heh =/

i recommend this falty dl - all in the place release. don't know what to classify it as but man is it gooood... imo =)

gimme something to go on. So far, hardcore and speedcore are what i like, but ive only listened to a tiny bit. I love angerfist, m1dy is alright and deadmau5 (not either hardcore or speedcore) isnt bad but i really like angerfist's style..so gimme some hardcore i guess. not happy hardcore, just straight hardcore or gabber

For Da Real G's - French Fries Remix
Senta - French Fries
Saurus - French Fries
Coconut - French Fries
Bigger Than Hip Hop - Tomb Crew Remix
Turn Out The Intro - Afrojack Remix

listen to the entire new re:vamped album from elite force here. there are plenty of remixes and re-edits to keep you busy for a while, and even the re-fix of the horribly tired and played out "where's my money" is decent. elite force rarely disappoints.

^ Cool! I just started listening to the tracks, and yeah... nice :)

I've been an elite force fan for a long time, saw him and meat katie at burningman this last year, the night of the burn. It was pretty damn sweet :)
