the official 'pets and drugs' thread

Ive been around animals on weed, lsd, ecstacy, ketamine, cocaine, heroin, and other shit that I cant think of right now. I love giving animals drugs it brings me great joy.
 
I don't know if I'd ever give animals anything besides pot, but giving an animal a very small ammount to get them a little high isn't forcing them to do anything. They take a little and if they want more then that's cool.

Damn man, I can just imagine the woods & parks around your crib...all the little animals just floating by your window. Especially the ones you shoot up with smack. The little squirrels falling out of trees because they're nodding on a branch. Pigeons walking down the sidewalk, wearing shades & panhandling...yeah boy, must look like "Panic in Needle Park" around your house...8) 8( 8o :p
 
When my friends and I roll at the club we usually go back to the same house for the afterparty (It's such a perfect raver house it isn't even funny.). They have this huge Rot and they always tell everyone not to pet the dog because of the contact high. Well, as you can imagine, the dog always gets a lot of love (Who can resist hugging a big furry animal when they're rollin?). By about 5am the dog is rollin and can't stop running around to every roller and jumping in their lap.
I kinda feel sorry for him sometimes though, by about 10 am he is almost passed out on the floor looking really cracked out.

In your opinion is it ok since my cat climbed up on my chest and sniffed the cherry herself? I never blew smoke in her face, I was just holding the pipe and she jumped up and sniffed it and since then she's come back for more and seems to enjoy it. Just wondering, because everybody is like "you've going to hell!".
 
Cats are also strongly attracted to antifreeze, which they will happily ingest and promptly die after acting quite drunk. Just because your pet wants some drug it doesn't mean you shouldn't stop them from taking it.
 
Yes, but pot doesn't cause my cat to promptly die. Is there any evidence that cats have more negative effects from pot then humans do? She likes it, she purs alot and has a good time, and it doesn't seem to be hurting her too much. I wouldn't see why the ethics of pets doing drugs are any different then humans. Sure there are some risks, but as a Bluelighter I'm sure you've aware of the risks. Of course my cat isn't aware of them, but I'm her owner and I know the risks of toking some pot and I can also see how much she likes it, in my opinion the posative outweighs the negative.
 
It isn't healthy for the cat but keep on doing it if you want, it's your cat.
I find it hard to believe that cats and dogs would come up to you and sniff the smoke. Most the time they are scared of smoke and the first thing they think is to get out of there. They may not be able to connect the breathing in the smoke to being stoned, instead they could think they're sick or dieing which is much more likely.
The point is animals can't say yes or no, they can't go to erowid and check up on it, maybe get your cat some catnip instead i'm sure they will enjoy it even more than smoking pot.
 
Well I know it's not healthy for my cat, but it's not any worse for her then it is for me. Cats are pretty damn smart when it comes to reward systems, it wouldn't suprise me at all if they could link the smoke to the high. They can't know the risks involved or read up about it, but I've read up about it and decided that the risks are small enough to all her to do it (not in excess). She can say yes or no, she could just not do it. This is one brain function where cats are quite a bit ahead of dogs and most other animals (except apes and dolphins). Besides, she just lays around and eats food all day, she might as well be stoned and lay around. I sure would be bored as hell if I didn't do anything and didn't even smoke some pot.
 
Give your cat some good catnip. Not the cheap pet store crap, but the really good kind they sell at health food stores. Cats really love it and it is actually good for their digestive systems. Much better way to get your cat "high".
 
That's a good point. Yeah you're right, much safer, but the BC hydroponic catnip is the dankest at $200/eighth or $6,000/lb...Canadian growers got the new catnip genetic seeds. Grow your own nip...try for 'nipamilla'. Great females for your felines. [j/j] (I couldn't resist) {no offense}
 
getting your pet high is really fucked up. it's one thing to maybe blow a few hits off a bowl into their face or something-but anything else is just mistreatment. my room-mates cat was fed half a pill when he was a kitten-and he definitely has suffered brain damage from it. he is a sweet cat-but not too smart at all. i saw him when he was kitten-a few weeks after he had been fed the 1/2 pill...and he couldn't walk in a straight line. :(

animals are naturally happy with just being loved-sleeping-and eating. don't bring your habits into their world. they don't have a voice to object.
 
No pills for pets...

Pets should never be given any pills to ingest, as the dosage is probably way off. Plus you should never slam-up poochy or precious puss...bad move for sure. Just some smoke in the face, & only if they like that, should suffice for your goldfish or parakeet. Poochy & puss should get a little more.
