haha my friends cat could definetly tell we were tripping.
he was petting it, then all of a sudden, blam! it turned around and bit his hand and ran away.
we laughed for a long long time.
 
wow mad props to OP as i understand completely... cats are naturally tripped out and in tune with out-of-the-ordinary kind of shit.

drop some good L and chill with a cat...he/she will fucking dance for you. promise.
 
As to the whole "animals knowin when you are high/tripping" I have to concur... its the strangest phenomenon! Whenever we trip or roll or even just smoke pot around cats I've had at my house or at friends houses who have cats, I swear the cats go battshit crazy! It really seems to be that something gets into them.

It could just be my perspective is all fucked (cause I'm the one tripping, rolling balls, etc. when all this alleged cat behavior goes down) but based on what other people have said here, cats definitely seem to have a sixth sense of some sort...
 
Yeah i too have often thought that my animals were acting strange when i was tripping.


On a related note, my dog ate my last joint the other day......guess he wanted to eat the smell that always puts his owner in a good mood. ;-)
 
A couple years ago I was looking after my friends dog for the summer in exchange for a large amount of durgz. I decided to trip on some acid I had lying around. I took a couple hits and left the others out for some kids that were coming over to get some weed. When they got there in a few hours I couldn't find the acid anymore, but the dog had huge pupils and chased her tail for 2 hours.

I swear to god the dog and I had a conversation with our minds for the rest of the day.

Yeah one time we were at a friends and we put 2 dubs on the table (40 of GOOD WEED) and we went back and both bags were gone, we thought someone stole them till the dog strarted walking along the walls scratching itself along the wall as it went by

also my friend has lots of cats and dogs at his house, and his cat is nice, likes getting petted but won't really lay in one place for awhile. When i came in rollin balls i layed on the couch and it jumped on my stomach and started purring for 2 hours. It was bliss
 
My dog ate a the strained remains of a batch of weed butter when he was about 8 mo old, fucked him up for like three days, couldnt walk straight or stand for the first two. ever since then, though, hes been a little fiend. I cant leave my bags out cause he'll eat them, and every time i make edibles he just goes for them.

on a related note, i had dropped some acid on antacid tablets (i still get a kick out of that) and left them in my buddy's freezer in the ice tray. when he opened the freezer, it popped out, and the acid ended up on the floor, but he didnt notice. so like an hour later I come back, and i find one of the tabs on the floor, but I cant find the other one. after about 10 minutes of searching, I found the foil it was wrapped in, and the dog was acting real funny

actually one of the most human and smartest dogs I know ate a bunch of mushroom extract when she was about 6 mo, which her owner says is responsible for her personality and intelligence
 
my parrot which i spend hours a day with which is the most crazy affectionate ridiculous i can't be without you for more than an hour or im gonna shit a brick animal stays away from me when my pupils are anything but normal
 
I smoked N,N DMT in my backyard once and my dog got super excited and rolled around on the ground next to me and then curled right up next to me while I tripped out for a few minutes. I've never seen him so happy before.
 
Once me and a friend were toking up in the garage and blowing the smoke underneath the garage door that was cracked open up a bit. Later we go into my room and see my cat rolling around on my bed as chill as can be, which struck me as odd because she never goes in my room; She also had a bunch of leaves in her fur(rolling around outside maybe?). Needless to say it was worth a good chuckle.
 
I remember smoking a few hits of DMT and jumping into bed, and both my puppies jumped into bed with me. They snuggled up close to me, and the little puppy sat on my chest and the bigger one leaned heavily on my side. Like they were trying to protect me. <3 it was the sweetest thing ever.

I think the dogs knew the DMT realm was opening up and they wanted to protect their daddy <3<3<3<3

those were the best dogs in the world. ever.....and I miss them soooooooooo fucking much.

I've also had the same dogs try to protect me/cuddle with me while tripping VERY hard on acid. <3

I need to rescue a doggy.....my ex has custody of the above mentioned dogs. I miss those dogs a million times more than I miss my ex gf.
 
My friend used to have this really awesome cat that she picked up at a shelter.
that cat would literally harass us and our friends when we were passing a bowl around.
whoever had the bowl, the cat was in that persons lap, crawling up it, swatting at the bowl
doing whatever it could until you would blow smoke in its face
then it would just sit there, close its eyes and just take it all in.
and continue to follow the bowl. hahahah
we had to hide weed from that kitty!
seriously like cat-nip for him.

def. one of the coolest cats ever.
 
I am 100% against voluntarily giving animals drugs, it is extremely immoral and potentially very dangerous to the health and welfare of the pet.

Having said that though, I have a stoner cat.

I used to live with my 2 best mates and we'd smoke a joint every night after work. My cat would constantly try to come over and sniff the smoke when the j was sitting in the ashtray! Cheeky fucker! We'd always shoo him away of course but he managed to actually get at it a few times when we had our backs turned, and he would be obviously stoned. He seemed to love it though. So against every moral fibre in my being, but pretty damn funny to watch :D (once we ascertained he wasn't in any danger)

Even now, if I make hash brownies, sure enough he always jumps up on the bench to try and sniff the cannabutter, cheeky little fucker! Of course I always shoo him away before he gets the chance but he'll keep trying.

Just yesterday afternoon, I caught him munching on a leaf of one of the plants out in the backyard!!! We're so careful with these plants, they're usually in a fenced-off area so our cats and dog can't get to them. But they've been out in the open to catch some extra sunshine these last few days. Upon closer inspection I noticed that he's been munching on quite a few leaves over the last few days!!!!! Fuckin stoner!! We watched him last night and he was obviously stoned :D

Man I really have to be more careful with him ay......the other pets aren't interested but he definitely is 8o
 
My kitty is the same way. She rubs up on me the most after i've smoked out, and she'll follow me around when I have weed in my pocket.

My wittle stoner :)

edit: just as a disclaimer though, I never gave her cannabis (and never plan on it). She just loves the smell.

anybody who gives pets drugs is a fucking idiot sorry. if anyone gave my cat something i'd beat the living shit out of them.
 
my one cat always likes chilling out with us ,when we are burning some quality weed he'll come running into the room , but if its just regular smoke or dirt, he doesnt bat an eye ,
and just stays put, but its obvious he does like the smell of the piff burning
