Shoot him with depot naltrexone (or better, nalmefene) I think some oz firm makes an implant that lasts at least 6 months. He could be kept unconcious through the worst of it. The thing is, he doesn't want to give up. You can't help someone who desn't want helping. I really think it's attention seeking.

I think it's a real shame, I love the stuff he did with the Libertines, and most of the Babyshambles stuff. A very talented guy caught up in a bad crowd, who shows no sign of slowing down. Plus he's 27, if history has taught us anything it's that 27 is the prime age for 'rockstar' fatalities.

if i was a celebrity id so totally get hooked on dope just for this show, and just be filmed destroying everything within arms reach in front of the camera once WD sets in...
thatd almost be fun actually. id just throw chairs and smash baseball bats into the walls and throw cans of (tomato!) soup at all the camera people. itd end up being the most expensive show ever cuz id sign a waiver beforehand freeing me of any and all liability for the damage (will have) done. theyd probably need a new camera man every 2 days or so.

Pete Doherty has admitted he still smokes crack every day. Despite vowing to kick his cocaine habit for supermodel girlfriend Kate Moss, the Babyshambles rocker has blatantly flaunted his substance abuse.
In an interview with the New York Daily News newspaper, Pete said: "I always stumble back on it sooner or later, even if it's for half an hour a day." The wild rocker even reportedly pulled out a crack pipe and lit up during the interview. Pete, 28, had impressed a judge during a recent court appearance, who said the star was making huge improvements. Pete's drug problem has been the cause of constant friction between him and catwalk beauty Kate, 32 – who is currently in the Caribbean for a modelling assignment. After Pete was hauled to court yet again for drugs related offences in December, Kate issued her troubled lover with an ultimatum: "It's me or the drugs". The couple have reportedly been engaged for a sometime, but Kate will not commit to marriage while he is still using drugs. Pete has previously confessed to once turning to selling his body to feed his drugs habit. He said: "There was no shame, because I kind of knew they were just lonely p***ed-up old queens. And £20 was a lot of money!"

SINGER Pete Doherty was arrested early today on suspicion of drugs possession, a police source said.
Doherty, 28, was arrested with two others, a man and a woman, after being stopped in a car in Tower Hamlets in east London.
The troubled singer, who has had an on-off relationship with supermodel Kate Moss, had been performing with his band Babyshambles at the V Festival in Staffordshire late yesterday.
All three were taken to an east London police station where they remain in custody.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "At 2:30 am officers in Tower Hamlets arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of possessing drugs."
Doherty was warned by a magistrate earlier this month he faced a prison sentence if he failed to demonstrate he was trying to kick his drugs habit.
The singer pleaded guilty in July to possessing crack cocaine, heroin, cannabis and ketamine.

He got the charges dismissed because he wasn't brought in front of a magistrate within 24hrs of the arrest.

ONE of junkie rocker Pete Doherty’s pet kittens is a crackhead, too.
The poorly moggy had to be saved by the RSPCA after eating cocaine.
And it is not just the kitten which has used up one of its nine lives – Pete walked free from court yesterday after a massive police bungle.
Charges of breaching his bail had to be dropped because officers failed to get him before the court within 24 hours – a legal requirement.
Doherty, 28, had been arrested in the early hours of Monday, hours after performing at Stafford’s V Festival. He was allegedly caught with drugs.
The news that he has dragged one of his pets into his junkie antics outraged animal campaigners.
His adult cat – named Dinger, junkie slang for a syringe – recently had a litter of five kittens. When one of them fell ill, a worried vet tested the sick kitten and found cocaine in its bloodstream.
RSPCA spokesman Julie Stainton said: “It is a police matter, so we cannot deny or confirm the identity of the man who had his kitten removed. But it is very important to protect animals from substances that can do them serious harm.”
Pete – ex-lover of model Kate Moss, 33 – yesterday walked free from Bethnal Green police station in east London, where he had been held in the cells.
The police blunder meant he did not even have to appear at West London Magistrates’ Court as planned.
There, District Judge Susan Williams fumed: “As the police ought to know, anyone arrested for breach of bail must be brought before court within 24 hours.”
Pete has repeatedly been spared jail, despite a string of drugs offences. Two weeks ago a judge gave him “one more chance” to clean up.
Police were last night investigating their blunder.
