oregon can score on people. LSU can't stop people from scoring on them. Recipie for bowl game disaster?

yeah thats what i mean. thats the only one of those matchups that i wouldnt rate as a lock for the sec team... lsu is puzzling to me. that team makes a lot of mistakes for a championship caliber squad.... i guess its when the team makes those mistakes that its important

^
Seriously.

I was really disappointed by the Michigan loss earlier today to Wisconsin, but I'm absolutely delighted that OSU lost to the Illini this evening. What a treat that was.

At any rate, you know next weekend's meetup is going to be a great game.

GO BLUE!!!

"The best team in college football", "the dynasty": gets fucking punked by an unranked team with two wins the previous season, and two wins the season before that. Way to go, you fucking chumps.

UGA on the other hand, totally pushed Auburn's shit in tonight :D=D:D=D:D. The level of competition inside the SEC vs that of the big ten is like the difference between the flu and ebola.

UGA is the only team in the east worthy of playing LSU in Atlanta. Kentucky and Vandy had better bring their A game against the Vols.

LSU hahahahahaha!!!
CAL ahahahahahah!!!

OSU #1 again. Same stuff, different year. It gets old being this good. ;)

Bow down, NCAAF.

BA said:
Good enough to be #1 in the coaches poll, and good enough to be #1 in the AP poll apparently.

I guess wins AT Washington, AT Minnesota, and AT Purdue are "not" good enough. Sorry.

BA said:
Well I'll be damned...

Unranked Rutgers beats the #2 team in the nation.

Who? Rutgers? Who the fuck are they? What state are they even from?

Bwahahahahahahaha!!! Looks like USF wasn't so good after all. They struggled that whole game, start to finish. How does a #2 team STRUGGLE with a jabrone team like Rutgers?!

BA said:
Another saturday, another Ohio State victory. :D

Oh, hahahaha South Carolina losing to fuckin Vanderbilt. Who even knew they HAVE a football team?!

What is with all these teams losing to nobodys?

**************
Summary for the above:
HAAAAAA hahahahahaha Ohio State Buckeys

Hahahaha looooooosers to who? Illinois? That's even funnier. Hahahaha!

"I guess wins AT Washington, AT Minnesota, and AT Purdue are "not" good enough. Sorry."
Um, no a home loss to an unranked team would not be good enough. Sorry.

"Unranked Rutgers beats the #2 team in the nation.

Heh, um....Illinois? #1 team in the nation? What state are they from? How does a #1 team STRUGGLE with a jabrone team like Illinois?

"What is with all these teams losing to nobodys?"
Uh-huh....8)

Who cares how the SEC is defensively, Ohio State is #1.

From si.com today:

#1 defense.
#1 points allowed.

Just sayin...

And we all know defense wins ball games. :D

ps. Go Bucks!

May wish to update those stats, they appear a little old :\

BA said:
Again, another Saturday, another Buckeyes win. :D
Only this time, with the added bonus of Florida and USC both getting their dicks kicked in!!! Man, they suck.
Is USC even ranked now? Bwahahahahaha!!!!

Buckeyes have won 28 of the last 29 games, who else can claim that?
After crushing Penn State, it should be clear why OSU is #1.

You go up against the Buckeyes, you lose.

Again, that 28 of 29 needs to be updated. If your open for suggestions can I offer 10 of 12, and remeber you've still got a chance to lose 2 more before the end of the season <3.

I <3 college football saturdays!

Go Bucks!!

Where were you for this one? Good seat I hope :D

Another great day to be a buckeye fan! =D

Be gone haters, be gone.

Pretenders, be gone. :|

....hrmmmm, prehaps posting that would be petty, and juvenile, and stooping to his level somewhat. Let me instead just go with this.

I would not call Illinois a cellar team by any means. they are on the up and coming with Coach Zook and he has some truly great recruits coming his way. this was the red-letter game that scared me all season. EVERYONE knows Ohio State cannot stop the spread offense, but they can easily handle the type of I-formations and off-set running backs that the Big 10 usually puts out there. Florida used the spread to beat us, and Illinois used it as well.

but Illinois a cellar team? ya'll obviously don't know your football that well. mark my words, the Illini will be contenders for many years to come.

yes, the Buckeyes lost. but you know what? underneath all my unsurpassed passion for all things Scarlet and Grey... there was the simple fact lingering in my mind all year that OSU simply is not number one team in the nation good. the fact is the Buckeyes beat teams because we are the Buckeyes, we have history, and we are supposed to win. it seems like once a year a team forgets that we are supposed to win, hahaha.

anyways I tip my hat off to Illinois, they played great and they deserved a win. for any other football team in the nation a one-loss season and trip to the Rose Bowl would be great... but for the Buckeyes losing in the regular season just doesn't cut it for us. we are far too spoiled in the realm of NCAA football.

I suppose BA deserves the bashing here but please don't let anything too outta of control eclipse your typing fingers, I really am not in the mood for editing.

all in all I shed a tear today. all of you who are so devoted to your college teams might be able to understand this. I just want my team to win, always, and I hope my passion for my team doesn't cross the line of arrogance too much.

OSU wasn't the best team this year. now we know. but the Buckeyes could lose every single game leading up to "the Game" from "that Team Up North," and then win that game -- and by all means it will be a successful season.

that being said:

we don't give a damn about the whole state of Michigan,
the whole state of Michigan,
the whole state of Michigan,
oh we don't give a damn about the whole state of Michigan,
cuz we're from Ohio!

OH!

I know it would be fun and hilarious if I showed a pattern of going "into seclusion again" every time Ohio State loses - but that's just not the case. It's never been the case, so it's kinda hard for that to happen "again." 8( I followed last years college football thread up to the end, commenting all the way including after FL whomped OSU in the championship with this post here. Acting like I go "into seclusion" is just a lie. Nice try. 8)

With that being said, it was great to see Wisconsin PISS ALL OVER Michigan yesterday. :) =D Remember Michigan fans, OSU throttled Wisconsin last week, you do the math...

It does suck the Buckeyes lost yesterday, and I can take whatever lumps I get from a crowd like this. I can dish and I can take it. What I saw yesterday was a mess - interceptions, poor defense, etc. I mean, how many times was it 3rd and 7 and Illinois would run the QB right up the middle for 13 yards? Fuckin eh that got to me.

Ohio State got put in their place yesterday by a much better team. Much better than a Stanford, Rutgers, or Appalachian State though, just sayin...

Also, if the Big 10 is oh so bad and weak, how many teams are bowl bound from that division? Something like 8 I thought I heard? (anyone can correct me on this if I am wrong, I can't remember the specifics)

Kansas should be the #1 team in the nation now, just IMO.

Axl - if I'm outta line, go ahead and edit any of it, BA knows it is just me throwing sour grapes from a team that's already lost 3 and will probably lose 1-2 more (counting the bowl game). But yeah, edit if I'm outta line - no privilege for title, I"m simply a member in this one.

Illinois isn't the cellar team of the Big10+1, that would belong usually to NW and IND. I'd put ILL in the basement, but not the cellar. And yes, they do appear to be climbing upwards. My money still says Zook won't get them into the top 2-3 consistently, I just don't have faith in him as a coach for that. Then again, the top 2-3 is traditionally WIS, OSU, and MICH...and we know what a disappointment MICH has been (gotta say I was a Badger fan for the day :D ). I can't agree with BA's statement that OSU got put in their place by a 'much better team', I think it was just ILL on a great day and OSU on a very bad day. OSU would take them 8-9 out of 10 times, I'm sure.

It does beg the question if anyone outside of OH-MI cares to watch the game, though...now that the national spotlight less bright. Then again, you've got the f'd up Big10 Network hoarding the game, so it's also a question of who CAN watch it :\

Kansas #1? Interesting thought, and it'll be fun watching OU, MIZZ and KAN fight out their Big12 title. I can't deny an evil part of me wants to see some cruel magic unfold and give all 3 a loss, but I don't think it would work. I would say the winner of that threesome deserves to be in a 3rd place game, but I'm still not willing to put any of them above LSU or Oregon at this point (with my prognostication thus far this season, I've just doomed both to lose :o ).

All the more reason for a 4 team playoff. :)

One last comment on BA's reply - congrats to the Big10+1, as it looks like 10 bowl eligible teams to me right now. Same as SEC, though we have Vandy one win away from also qualifying. It'll also be interesting to see which 6 win teams get left out this year. Heartbreaking for some if it happens (Miss State, Vandy if it happens) but it WILL happen to some people :\

got any CURRENT pics that would do the game justice?

all i have to say is thank fucking god brandon cox is a senior...i have been waiting for this day for 4 fucking years. surely there is another QB on the auburn bench who WON'T throw interceptions??....esp the first fucking pass of the game, barely even clocked off 5 secs and we have a turnover. :X
