until you play akron, STFU ;)

Oh, and I'll be really torn if the dawgs win out in the east, and have to face LSU in Atlanta. That's how bad I want LSU to beat OSU.

LOL.....yea i hope its UGA in the East.....that way we can get payback from '05....and hopefully we'll make it to the NCG to blow the blow the doors off of OSU....Although if we do play them.....I believe it will be a close one.....

dennis dixon and darren mcfadden respectfully disagree

Dennis Dixon I can see winning the Heisman. but Darrn McFadden? I gotta strongly disagree on that one. sure, I picked an OU VS Arkansas NC in the preseason, but I don't think you can give the Heisman to a guy who plays for a team that is having a two loss (maybe more) season. I would put Mike Hart in front of McFadden.

I could see Dennis Dixon. like I said before, the Ducks are a fumble and six inches away from being undefeated and the second best team in the nation.

^^

If Oregon had def Cal then Oregon would be the #1 followed by OSU at #2

sorry but i couldnt resist the OSU bash ;)

mcfadden is amazing definatly the best RB in the country. He has done everything to help his team win had to endure no passing attack defences stacking 8 in the box and still gets 100 yards every game. Not his fault there defence sucks and houston nutt is a moron.

On another note who yall got Notre damn vs Air force?

Air Force.

Hypnotik you can bash OSU all you want. the fact is we are number one and you are just another guy in the South that hates us because you lose all your games and we win all our games (in the regular season at least ;)).

+1

arkansas has been a real disappointment this year but mcfadden is strong. he's on pace for a career high in yards this year and set an sec record for yards in a game last week.

usf's strength of schedule was ranked 12th in the nation which was the best ranking of all unbeatens (until last night)

Follow up, found this site

http://www.cfrc.com/

from which the following do offer some form of SoS rankings :|
- Anderson-Hester
- Sagarin (USA Today link)
- Colley Rankings

I'm still having trouble swallowing people's claims of accomplishment when relying on team rankings during the season (especially with all this fluctuation showing the voters don't know shite until it's all said and done), or past contests from years gone by (irrelevant to the team composition at this point, for this year). The only thing I can lean on with any sense of belief is 'what have you done for me lately' - to which OSU, KSU (not Kent), and Hawaii are the only ones to be running the table :\ I imagine they'll stub their toes, and that's not wishing ill, more a feel for the flow of the season.

I love NCAAF, but as bruised as most everyone is at this point, I'm just going to try and enjoy watching without expectations or chatter about who is the best....just let 'em play it out.

WVU...just because WV is my home state...They don't have much of a passing game..but Divine is amazing

I love the calm resignation that comes over florida fans when they're out of the running for any glory. We really need to beat you more often. :D

;)

Yeah, well, :p

...against kent state Troy

At least we held Troy to a lower score AND scored more on them AND sold more concessions in the stands AND had better weather AND we had cuter cheerleaders (can't even claim that one this year) .... /looks for more straws...

You got me, though - not even despair, just blah....sad acceptance :\ It's hard for me to get excited about anyone getting to the BCS at this point.

Hey, did you hear? Basketball season just started =D

Okay, I couldn't let it go...

I'll call myself out before anyone else can - our game with Troy was cut short due to a lightening storm. So UGA has us beat on weather as well. :!

Aaaannnndddd, yeah, you "really need to beat [us] more often" :p ...15 of last 17 or somesuch, isn't it? ;)

there's probably still a facebook group for bringing back ron zook in my UGA network.

Ya, we really do need to win more often. like how we've won it more often since the two teams started playing against eachother. ;)

Its important that we put all this behind us, though-- til next october, anyway. I found something worthy of our attention.

The matchups:

Oregon-LSU: Ducks favored by 0.5 points.

Arizona State-Florida (5): Sun Devils by 1.8.

USC-Auburn (6): Tigers by 0.5.

Cal-Georgia (7): Bulldogs by 2.4.

Oregon State-Alabama (8): Crimson Tide by 4.8.

UCLA-Kentucky (9): Wildcats by 5.9.

Washington-Tennessee (10): Volunteers by 6.6.

Arizona-Arkansas (11): Razorbacks by 9.7.

Washington State-South Carolina (12): Gamecocks by 10.4.

Stanford-Vanderbilt (13): Commodores by 7 -- or a few National Merit Scholars.

sports book odds for theoretical matchups between the SEC and PAC 10. I hate to sound like a total homer, but I think those top two games could easily break in favor for the SEC. I'm not so sure about Auburn beating USC, though-- given Auburn's slide recently.

Oh what I wouldnt give to see a similar matchup with the conference that can't count.

Woah Pat White just pulled a Vince Young against louisville what a run.

Oh and Auburn USC my ass there not winning out. Bamas gonna get em

need links - I've several Big10+1 people around me who might be chagrined if there are similar projections for their teams against various conferences.

Edit - nevermind...the part where it says "Pat Forde at ESPN"..um, yeah, that'd be what I missed :| Don't blame my Florida education, blame it on 5+yrs being stuck in O-hole-io :o
