the official *i'm quitting!* thread

Who cares what his angle is, it works. Almost 2 months since I quit, no cravings, no longings. I never even think of smoking even when I'm at bar drinking and people around are smoking. And that's just from reading his $15 book, not going to any of the in person seminars. And I know 3 other people who quit just from reading the book, too.

Im entering Day 4 with no ciggs after half a pack a day for the last 2 years.

I didn't anticipate the depression being so bad (and not just about giving up smoking, its encompassing quite a bit).

If the secret could be told in a sentence, it would not need to fill a book. You have to read the book which-- chapter by chapter -- nudges you more and more into releasing any positive feelings towards cigarettes. By the time you finish reading, quitting comes surprisingly easy.

^^ So, like a crappy friend, he points out how terrible the relationship between you two is and how it could never possibly have ever given you any positive feelings?

Isn't that like... brainwashing?

Um, no, that's not what it does. Nice guess though. Why not just buy the book, read it and quit smoking instead of finding reasons to avoid a proven method to quit?

If you really want to quit, you'll fork over the $15 for the book. What's that, a week's worth of cigarette money? And if you read it and decide to keep smoking, what have you lost? $15?

Although substituting one addiction for another is never a good thing, In this case I gotta say, do WHATEVER it takes to get away from that nasty shit. Tweak is one of the worst possible things you can do to your body, IMO.
Good Luck.

I ended up not smoking a cigg for a long time now..mostly because I got sick. And now that Im not I just havent felt like smoking. Hmm..I guess thats a good thing. We'll see if it lasts. I didnt even think about it like "quitting" I just dont feel like smoking after not being able to for so long.

OKay Im quitting smoking again!!!

I thought it would be cool to smoke a camel wide when I was drunk the other night (hadnt smoked a cigg or weed in about three weeks). So I smoked it, and OMG I got SO sick..It literally floored me, I was on the ground just puking and puking (I was drunk but not that drunk).

So moral of the story..after having a clean body and putting that trash into it, the way it felt REALLY was a slap in the face regarding how poisonous those things are.

So as of today, I am swearing off ever smoking a ciggarette again. I cant say if Id choose to smoke a cigar or not, but Im cool off ciggarettes. Wish me luck and much respect to the quitters here. <3

I just bought 4 cartons of my Canadian brand of cigs. I tried quitting when I ran out months ago. It didn't last. I found an American brand to keep me in nicotine hell. I am so fucking happy that I have my "brand" back. I love smoking again. I am saddened by my addiction but not enough to quit. I'll check back when I run out of my preferred cigs.

Deja, best of strength in your venture. Luck has nothing to do with it.

ok, I really want to quit cigarettes

So I'm gonna post in this post every time I crave a cigarette while I'm at home.
Must resist
