The Official BL Fashion Thread!

oh and velvet is back too now huh? hrmmm i remember when it was in and then extremly OUT and daggy. I like velvet. It feels nice to wear.

My biggest fashion gripe that's trying to make a comeback this fall is drop shoulders! I suppose this fits with the 'oversized' theme that's going on with sweaters and other shirts, but cmon, drop shoulders don't look good on anybody, just like skinny jeans and leggings (although there ARE ways to wear them that do work), most people simply can't pull the look off.

Wow, I have it so easy. I usually wear tshirts and shorts to the office. Casual friday is everyday! Then again, I work with a guy who wears pajamas everyday and another gent who wears suits everyday. Go figure.

A messenger bag is somewhat of a classic for those of us ladies (and men) who are constantly out and about - it carries a change of clothes, all the standard purse stuff and some are large enough to carry a laptop.

They're really the one true classic around.

I got one late this spring that surpassed any I've seen or used - functional, attractive, and I bring it everywhere. Mine is in this color. It's almost a cross between a messenger bag and a briefcase, and if I had one of the dinky laptops it would fit.

It's made by Tumi (www.tumi.com) and I looked at about 10 bags before I chose this one. I love it, it holds everything I need for one night out in which I may need to pass out on a friend's couch but is perfectly functional for work and everything else.

Time for a classic... not a trend. ;)

All I have to say about this season so far: YUCK!

There are a few bits about it I like (tall boots!!!!), but for the most part, it's icky colors and styles that almost no one can pull off properly. Which means I have to see disgusting looking people wearing clothes that make them look even more disgusting. Wisconsin definitely carries that drawback...

I REALLY need functional and fashionable shoes as I commute, walk a lot and am not sedentary at the office. I want style with substance! I like chunky shoes, that's awesome to hear. I CANNOT wear pointy toed shoes, they are the devil's work but they are cute as hell!

Ok - this is an old post, but here goes anyway:

The "point" has nothing to do with the feet - it's simply BEYOND the toes. You just need to find a pair of shoes that fit right. Also remember you can always get them stretched (in specific areas, like the "toe")
