^^^ You have to tough out the first day of the first test at Lord's!;)

Hopefully this series is a close........what am i saying...... after the handbags incident in the British press i hope we wipe the floor with them, can't wait to see it happen. Must admit after our start to the tour i was a bit worried but as it stands i don't think they have a chance unless they somhow get 1 test up and weather plays a part in the rest.:\
So anyone got any predictions on leading run scorer/wicket taker?

I am going to go with Langer and Lee, though i think Ponting. and Warne will be right up there.
 
I'm in a sweep at work involving 40 people, where we have to predict the winner, score, and leading wicket taker.

I've gone australia 3-1 and harmison as the leading wicket-taker with 27 (coz i figure the aussie bowlers will share the wickets around)

I can't say brendan julian and mark waugh are the best hosts for the foxtel coverage though. Mo and Deano are a much better duo on SBS.

Fuck! I've ensured I'd stay up with heaps of chemicals, and it looks like a 3 day test at the moment!

How can you say such a thing when a batsman is at the crease that has scored 400-odd runs at an everage of 152 in his last 4 test innings?

Oh well, here's shane's chance to show us all what a great batsman he is....he's already got two first class centuries this english summer so you never know!
 
England still a very distant second best team in the world. Aussies have too much going for them at the moment to be seriously challenged by England - Warne arguably bowling as well as he ever has (took 70 odd wickets last year), McGrath on song as usual, Brett Lee bowling quick and accurately and a strong batting lineup which is yet to totally click but is still too strong for the English.

I think England may steal a win if Australia has a shocker but they are definately a long long way from winning the Ashes. Watching the 1st Test it doesn't seem like much has really changed with the English team. They may have performed well against the rest of the world but Australia still clearly has the edge on them with England carrying to many scars from history and cracking under pressure as shown in their fielding.
