Well they turned it round on Sunday but surely was a great sight to see Australia completely embarassed :)
 
Kasper, Tait and Marto back in the squad!!
About time the selectors made some logical decisions. Kasper is leading wicket taker in Pura Cup, Tait is dangerous with his speed and Marto is class and should never have been dropped. I think Marto will definately play and so will Kasper. I don't think Tait will be able to edge Bracken out, he has been bowling well and represents a good option being left armer and we already have Lee to bowl express, I don't see that there is much need at the moment for Tait when what is missing from the attack is McGrath.
Hopefully Australia can continue their revival in the 1 Day series.

I like Bracken too, but he's gone.

Oh well I like Tait too :D .
What irks me a bit more is Stuart Clark. I don't see how he gets in over Bracken. I just don't think he's that good, I dunno he looks dopey or something.

I'll probably be going for Seth Efriker anyway.
 
thank god martyn is back in the team, i guess merv hughes sobered up enough to realise what a cock up he (and the rest of the selectors) had made
 
^^^ Thats a pretty big call to make you know, if it weren't for the relgation of marto and clarke to the bench, we'd never have given Hussey a go.

I think the selectors have made a mistake with putting in Clarke and not Bracken. Clarke reminds me of this loser at high school who only took wickets cos his action was so unpredictable and nobody knew what he was gonna bowl next, his nickname was Kizza, it's a little running joke with my mates now, we call him Kizza Clarke....

Yeah I gotta agree there on the Stuart Clarke issue. They seem to only have picked him ahead of Bracken because he bowls a bit quicker than Bracken and they were concerned about Bracken's "penetration". I thought selection was about cricket not porn but hey who knows. It is strange they've opted for Clarke who is just another right armer who doesn't do much with the ball and bowls high 130's-mid 140's at best. I would have thought Bracken being able to move the ball a fair bit a being left armer would be more valuable. I don't think Clarke will actually get a game, I imagine he will carry the drinks while Tait gets a trundle.
I'm still just smiling at the return of Kasper and Marto.

WI are 6 down, but only need 72 to win, wish it was being broadcast on TV, it'd be a good game...
 
West Indies are in a bit of bother here, they are dropping like flies. I'm hoping that Bravo and Ramdin can see them home.This is a great game - kind of sucks having to watch the live score on cricinfo. I like both these teams but have to side with the Windies here.

This *is* a very good match though, I'm glad you guys are following it. Bond bowled an absolutely beautiful spell, now he's too tired to bowl. Looks like they'll be coming back tomorrow with the Windies needing 40-odd and NZ needing three wickets.

Stryis should have just run out Ramdin - he was hit on the pad, the ball went to second slip and he started running, thinking it had gone to fine leg. Styris had a free shot at the stumps but missed.

Vettori bowling really well, 3 or 4 guys around the bat. Martin bowling junk at the other end.
 
And just as I post, it's 8 down! Ramdin's being trying to sweep nearly everything Vettori bowled. He just picked one up and dropped it straight down Franklin's throat at square leg. 45 to win, only the bowlers left. Edwards in, his average is almost as bad as Martin's - only 4.31.

You'd have to back the Kiwis!

I second you there - Martin is a piece of shit. Two ducks for the match, his fielding is shit and his bowling is even worse. Loser.

Anyway, SA is making a surprisingly good fist of this chase.
2/222 in the 25th over. Scoring at 9 per over.

This match is going to go down as one of the most incredible in cricket history, no doubt. I can't see SA making this total, but they are probably going to beat the previous chasing total, whatever that was.
