the official 2010 NFL thread!

sure, they both have cannons for arms but I think that they have a long way to go before becoming above average NFL QBs.
Before becoming above average QBs? Aaron Rodgers already is above average. He was one of the better quarterbacks last year.

he was good last year, but not overtly impressive. this should be his year. he is looking solid.

4000+ yards, 28 TDs and 14 INTs not that impressive? Man, you're a harsh judge. :)

He definitely looked like he could've done a lot more damage against the Bears, but at least he made the big plays at the end.

NINERS!!!! WOOOOO!!! Restore the glory Singletary! How typical east coast fan of you Axl to not believe the Niners couldn't beat Arizona. :p Hell...they were only a yard short of victory in Glendale last season.

Shaun Hill and the o-line looked terrible for most of the game, but when faced with their first deficit, the offense rallied and got the TD they needed. I'm already worried about Jimmy Raye's play-calling (3 straight runs when they were all getting stuffed at one point) but hopefully the running game will never look that bad again this season. Also kudos to Sing for calling a T.O. in the 2nd half to rally his defense after the Cards were starting to move the ball on them.

he did have the stats last year, but for an NFL QB the ultimate monkey is wins. already, Aaron Rodgers has already had as many losing seasons as Brett Favre did in Green Bay, as I'm sure you Packers fans know.

hey, I have nothing against the Pack Attack or Aaron Rodgers - one has to admit that they are a rather likable franchise. however, he almost lost a game against a QB (Jay Cutler) who threw 4 interceptions. in fact, Rodgers was one play away from easily losing that game.

Rodgers was above average last night. as I mentioned before, the real story last night was the Packers defense.

so tonight we got Pats VS Bills. Brady's back and out to cement his status as a football god. do the Bills even have a chance? what do you say GM?

Odds are, obviously, no. They're probably going to get crushed. I'm used to a fool's hope though. =D

I still like to think anything's possible on opening Monday Night Football. The offense has the weapons. They just need the O-line to give Edwards time and he needs to throw accurately. Fred Jackson also has to step up to keep the run game a viable option. If they can do all that it's just a matter of outscoring Brady, Moss, and Welker.

I do think Fast Freddie Jackson is better than Marshawn Lynch on the draw, so hopefully they can use that to keep the Pats on their toes and open up the passing game a bit. If Edwards can't get 2 TDs between Lee Evans and T.O. in the first half there's no hope.

maybe Brady will struggle, too. also I don't think the Pats defense is anywhere what it used to be. good luck :) I will be watching the game and eating chicken wings like a true American.

I think the Pats will be O.K. even if Brady is a little rusty. Belichick's systems work so well that he can take even average players and make a good go of it, that's why I think that even with an unproven defensive secondary the Pats will be a contender this year

yeah, I still have them down as contending for the AFC Championship. however, if they do falter it will be because of their defense or maybe Brady isn't quite ready. also - they are not allowed to cheat anymore.

Hey GM how'd you like the end of that game? ahahahah all that idiot had to do was kneel it for a touchback!?!? 5 yards deep in the endzone wtf??

That's why yall are the Buffalo Bills.

"Wide right, NO GOOD!!"....that sound familiar?

Wow. Um..........

Anyway, the Bills are still the Bills.

Man what brutal games for the Bills and Raiders...

luckily the week 2 match ups for both teams are favorable. Must avoid 0-2.

You can suck a dick you [snip] junkie fuck.

What really made my night, was picturing you going bizerk when he fumbled that ball. You're sitting there all fat and cocky, thinking you've got your first win against NE since '03; probably calling a lot of people talking massive shit, and then, (just like Madden would say it) BOOM!! How many names did you call that KR?

hahahaha i was laughing so hard it's not even funny
