tigers=next national champs

great team, no doubt...

but Kevin Love's gonna show your Tigers the way out on Saturday...

Howland > Calipari

Let's see a repeat of the '06 West Regional Final!

You're not going to bring up one of those silly "let's bet avatars!" deals are you? Not my thing really...

But I tell you what...if Memphis takes out the Bruins...I'll be right here congratulating your Tigers...hopefully you can do the same if it turns out to be the other way. ;)

When it's all said and done they will be ranked much higher than 66. Too bad the NCAA tourny commish overlooked OSU, instead they invited Kentucky? What were they thinking??

. . . says the Jim Tressel fan. 8)

the Buckeyes may have been slightly slighted and although my hopes are officially up for a Florida/Ohio State rematch (thanks to Florida losing) I suppose I am happy they are in the NIT championship. I guess I have to get drunk and watch the game, as a true OSU fan (who is currently misplaced in Miami at the moment). it is just horrible going through every single one of these NIT games thinking to myself "wow, if we lose this game it is going to be embarassing" - and tonight against UMass it is no different.

speaking of the Buckeyes, I remembered the Alamo Dome last year when Ohio State absolutely spanked the Memphis Tigers on their way to the NCAA Championship.

it seems that Memphis remembers the Alamo Dome too, huh? ever since that game they haven't looked back and they are playing upbeat and aggressive basketball. I had UCLA in one of my brackets but now I find myself thinking I wish I had some white out, a quick way into my bracket, and a pen to spell the letters "M E M P H I S."

Big 10 was a lower-rated conference than the SEC this year...not saying that it was a better conference since neither had a team go beyond the Sweet 16... but yeah, OSU didn't help itself with its losses within the conference.

And no, they won't be ranked much higher than 66 since polls aren't really in the equation anymore. ;)

Blasphemy! Kevin Love will show you the way.

THey do come out with rankings at the end of the season, I am pretty sure they will be ranked ahead of Miss Valley State, and Coppin State among others. But I don't really care to much.

Nice to see them get over the championship hump. Nit's something to start with, now the University can build on that and win the NC in football this yr!

Kevin Love is nasty. honestly Lap Dawg you could pencil in any of these Number 1 seeds to take it all the way, even Kansas. in the beginning of the tourney I said UCLA easily but if someone says that it couldn't, just as easily, go to Memphis or UNC than I think they must be a little bit deranged.

but this is why the Final Four is so exciting this year. I will get home just in time to watch the games in Boston and hit up a sports bar (I don't have cable sadly I don't think these games are on CBS?)

as disgraceful as it was seeing the Buckeyes compete in the NIT, it is a proven fact throughout the times that whicever team wins the NIT usually goes at least as far as the sweet 16 the next year. and the Bucks aren't going to experience the "Curse of Ohio State" (having every player in every sport leave for pros as soon as possible) because Kosta Koufas is not that good yet ;)
