what games do you like?
what's the spread?
how much did you wager?

Bears -1 @ Seattle (1 unit wagered)

the bears will win by 7+ pts. this bet is easy $

this next bet is a 2 team teaser (a teaser is where you combine 2 games and receive 6 pts in your favor in both games...but you have to hit both games)

49rs +7 @ Vikings (49rs +13)
Saints -6 @ Buffalo (Saints even) (1 unit wagered)

i usually stay away from teasers but i'm just having a little fun early in the season. i'm pretty sure the 49rs will at least stay within 13 pts of the vikings. actually i think they can win.

as for the other part of my teaser i'm confident the high flying saints will beat the bills. they're averaging 45 pts. a game.... it's also nice that they don't have to win by 7 pts., they just have to win.

another game i like, but have not wagered on, is Broncos -2 1/2 @ Raiders.

oaklands running game appears to be decent, but j. russell is a horrible qb. and denvers d is looking suprisingly good. i will be suprised if j. russell doesn't have a bad day and pull the raiders down with him.

you might want to entertain the idea of posting all of the lines on all of the games. would probably make everything run a bit more smooth.

Vegas odds change at whim.

I have literally looked at the board, made my number notes, waited 2 people and my spread was different. But they tend not to vary to much from the original.

Here's what I have going today:

4 team teaser
NYGiants -2.5 vs. KC (KC is a mess)
Chicago -4 vs. Detroit (Lions are showing a pulse ... uh oh)
Indianapolis -4.5 vs. Seattle (Seneca Wallace ... woohoo!)
San Fran -3.5 vs. St. Louis (counting on the Rams continued suckitude)

2 team parlay
New England -1.5 vs. Baltimore (being a Steelers fan, I love rooting against the Ravens, even if I have to root for the AntiChrist)
Minnesota -3 vs. Green Bay (which GB team will show up?)

it appears both bets hit.

what kinda odds did you get on the 4 team teaser?

i took the week off from wagering, partly because my friend that i put bets in through was doing family stuff and i didn't want to bug him. the other part being i didn't really spot any games that jumped out and me and said" you must wager on this game". i did kinda think about taking the ravens and the points....glad i didn't.

Have you guys seen the lines for NEXT week's NFL yet?

RIDICULOUS!

The 3-2 Steelers, who haven't looked particularly great in a single game this season, are favored by FOUR (4) points over the undefeated Minnesota Vikings, who boast, not only a very talented defense, and not only Brett Fucking Favre, but also, very possibly, the best player in all of football, Adrian Peterson.

This isn't last season, and the Steelers have shown absolutely NO signs THIS season that they are anything more than a solid 10-6 type team.

The Vikings, on the other hand, are clearly a Super Bowl contender.

This line should be under a field goal, perhaps even Pick'em.

MY PICKS:

(1) $ 5,500 to win $5,000 on vikings (+4) STEELERS

(2) BUY 3 points (for 10cents per half-point {as long as it's NOT bought to get a line ONTO 3 *or* OFF OF 3}):

$ 8,000 to win $ 5,000 on vikings (+7) STEELERS

i'm bitter.

i wanted to put some loot on the broncos money line last night, which would have hit, but i've been putting bets in through my buddy and he had already bet on the chargers so i couldn't really ask him to call in a bet.

i need my own bookie.

your #2 bet...

i think you might have it a little backwards.

if you buy points and want the vikings to win you'd take the spread from +4 steelers to +1 steelers. so the vikings would actually have to win by 2 points for you bet to hit.

nope.

the vikings are ALREADY (+4) with regular vig of (-110)

Buying 3 points (at .10 per half-point) costs me 60 cents - so instead of giving (-110) at (VIKES +4 points), I'm laying (-170) at (VIKINGS +7 points).

So I'd be laying 8,500 to win 5,000, but GETTING 7 points.

In hundsight, I cheated by 500 in my OP.

Sorry. :)

OK - after a hypothetical (had I actually wagered real money) devastating non-cover with my Vikings pick a few weeks back, I'm loading up against the good-but-overrated Steelers again.

RISK 1100 to WIN 1000 - bengals (+7) over STEELERS

RISK 1000 to WIN 2600 - bengals (+2.6 to 1 - MONEYLINE) over STEELERS
