Billy Idol is the fuckin man!!!!
-- and by the time the band got to "Bizarre," every element in the song was sequenced besides the vocals and some bass. Rather than rob the song of its humanity, the flooding beds of Fairlight-programmed synths and orchestral hits just come off sounding like the distracting chaos of a cluttered brain, with Sumner's besieged vocal at the middle trying to make sense of it all.
I love that song, as well as Blue Monday. Those two songs were the soundtrack to my mopey teenage years 8)http://www.billboard.com/articles/c...-order-bizarre-love-triangle-30th-anniversary
any care to comment or just share their appreciation for the song ?
kinda crazy cause i've been playing it like crazy the past couple days, totally oblivious to the fact.
somethings are just too good for words, that song is one of those things.
do y'all recall stickers "drum machines have no soul" ornot surprised that is the lamest google image search result ever! lol dude had one at amoeba... of course /me rolls eyes.
the media is really buggin about the latest taylor swift single/video ? so lame.
it just got THAT much better cause i just learned "The song contains an interpolation of the 1991 song "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred, therefore Fred Fairbrass, Richard Fairbrass, and Rob Manzoli of the band are credited as songwriters."

Yes, I'm not sure how TS re-branded herself as a tortured artiste but it seems she has. Personally, I loved 1989--a beautiful gem of rock candy pop. But I don't think she handles gravitas well.
