Im not asking for sources, but are RCs available in California? Everyone that talks about it lives in europe, or somewhere foreign.

I don't know if you will get any of this if you live in Cali, you guys have enough real meth to need an analogue

Yes they have. 8)

That doesn't look promising, care to elaborate for a fellow seasider?

I already think this is going to be another grim episode for RCs in the UK, but let's face it the industry has a year max before it's shut down permanently by the new laws. What have they got to lose by cashing in on anything and everything they can get hold of?

So cynical, so young...

What new laws are you talking about?

As far as I understand it, by next December at the latest Britain is going to be able to ban a new substance or chemical class without reason for 12 months to give the boffins a chance to tell us why it should be banned. It's a major change in our drug laws, I believe introduced specifically to cripple the "legal highs" market in the UK. The "legal highs" and "RC" markets are operating increasingly overtly in a grey area, these new laws give the government the power to colour it black almost immediately.

Of course nothing that is banned under the "temporary" ban is ever going to be 'legal' again. It's basically just an easy way to pull a thorn permanently out of a prohibitionist bastard governments side.

How many safer chemicals and therefore lives are going to be lost to this is of no concern, what matters to the government is that no otherwise law abiding UK citizen alters their consciousness recreationally with anything other than tax-paid alcohol.

Edited to add: Again as far as I understand it, if you are caught with a substance banned under the 12 month ruling you will not be prosecuted, but possession with the intent to supply will carry a prison sentence. Hence killing the RC market in the UK, I am no expert so I don't know if we will be able to get away with importing for personal use or not. The UK home market will be shut down though.

It would be nice if they told us what this drug felt like.

You mean the vendors providing the chem? What would that help at all?

They're in general greedy scumbags trying to maximize the profit (e.g. the benzo fury people).

Of course they will claim that this stuff is the closest thing to meth there can be be and it's the best thing ever...

No I meant the select few who received samples a few months back.

That's how the USA does it now, except you can get in trouble for having it under the temporary ban. It's really not that bad. They just got around to temporarily scheduling some of the JWH chemicals, and they've been around and widely used for several years. They only banned a couple of them too, as there's still plenty left%) It actually takes quite a bit of publicity before they do anything. Still, the UK might do it differently.

Regarding US law, what are you talking about killer? I know the analog act can be vaguely interpreted, but that's a different animal of grey area. I'm guessing this is something I've missed (unless you're talking about something in a specific state).

The sense I get from the US reactionary policy is pretty fat and lazy. If its not stirring up a shitstorm it goes under the radar for quite a while. It really did take a long time for the JWHs to hit the media, and in my experience fell pretty flat on its face as public scare.

To me, the big thing about this potential change in UK law is production. Import and possession will still be feasible, I figure.

This is kinda what worries me, either way it will kill the UK home market. I'd obviously like to be able to import material whilst it is under the "temporary" ban because that will give enough time to stock up on the good ones.
However, it will mean resourcing, finding reliable suppliers all over again which I am not looking forward to. We have a lot of scamming bastards here but we also have some good, reliable suppliers. I have some solid ones that I trust and like that state of affairs, oh well nothing lasts forever etc.. 8)

The DEA has a system where they can emergency schedule drugs for 12 months. During this 12 months, they investigate the drug to determine if it should be illegal or not. Almost always, they end up making the drug illegal permanently. This is what just happened to some of the JWH chemicals.

Even with emergency scheduling powers, it still takes them a while, as you pointed out. I suspect there are two reasons for this. The first is that the DEA really doesn't know a whole lot about drugs. I've unfortunately had a bad experience with the DEA and while I was getting interviewed by a supposed expert, it was clear that I knew more about drugs and their effects than the DEA "expert." It's like having amish people investigate cybercrime. It takes them a while to catch onto things. The second reason I believe they take a while to ban things is because of publicity. If they banned a drug before anyone knew about it, they wouldn't look that cool. But if they wait until it's in the news, they look more like heros, saving the children and all that. This is just my guess though.

In the intrest of harm reduction, and to say some friends of mine would be wholly willing to use this substance. What should I be saying to them in regards to safe use? . Stock up on vitamins? Water? Food. Take benzos when having abit of a freak out. Don't use with certain medications etc? Seeing as in the UK we have no drug education , no one knows how to use methampthetamine properly they just know the dangers. And remember in the UK this product will most likely be aimed at those looking for a mephedrone replacement, and most mephedrone users I know don't have much control over how much they use.

This is the worrying thing, I've also noticed that the 'original' vendor has removed all mention of "methamphetamine" from the sales blurb, it was certainly there two days ago.

There can be only one reason for this, to put as much distance between methiopropamine and meth as possible. It's a meth analogue, TELL your customers openly that it's a meth analogue, don't initially tell people and then (presumably) after getting a little flack, remove just that part from your product info. They aren't shy about linking other analogues to street drugs. :!

This vendor has just dropped down a couple of rungs IMO.

In answer to your question Vit C is supposed to have some slight neuroprotective properties against Meth, but that's Meth and this isn't. It is also supposed to dampen the euphoria somewhat and shorten the duration, unfortunately. I'd hasten to add I am no expert or even slightly experienced with meth, so for all I know this could be a pile of old bollocks.

Yeah, fortunately Im the only one of my immediate friends that ever care to look at harm reduction websites. But what just dawned on me is the fact that alot of the younger people that are admittedly going to be using this will only catch wind of it through a media shitstorm :S, no-one would ever believe or understand me if i said "hey, want to try some methiopropamine" only after the newspapers have done their usual bullshit storys like " Lad rips scrotum off on legal meth" will they ever take notice at it.

I don't think we are going to have to wait for the media shitstorm on this one, If I was a betting man (and I am) I'd bet the wheels are rolling towards the ban already. These sites are monitored and I'm pretty certain someone will be having a fit like an epileptic howler monkey over this right now.

I doubt the forces that be will ban it before it becomes available to the general public, but they will certainly await trip reports with fingers hovering over the 'ban' button.

I would love to give this novel compound a go.

Now i was never really keen on Mephedrone so i`m hoping it`s not like that, which i don`t think it will be,the whole ketone thing has a certain effect and feel to them.

Lets hope this is more like Methamphetamine than Mephedrone.

I hope you enjoy yourself mate, my decision's made though, it's not for me..

Gimme a good acid analogue, MDxx or a good opioid.
