RCs The Methiopropamine N-methyl-1-(thiophen-2-yl)propan-2-amine (MPA) Megathread V2

Been taking this for a couple of days and it really causes breathing difficulties, it's really hard to catch your breath.

Seriously poeple there are so many better ways to get stimulated than substances like MPA or etyphenidate. I know it's a metter of choice and preferences but don't expect to much out of these substance. The best way to use it in my opinion is to boost the high of some euphoric substances like 3-MMC or MDAI that alone lack the rush. Personally I would never use any kind of substance to work cause in a metter of time you will find yourself addicted and unable to work without it. Just take care of your body, work out and eat healthy so you get rid off your anxiety. I also recommend 5-htp and products based on it.

I wasn't really sure where to ask this but i'm looking for an rc that would keep me energized and focussed for a couple of hours. See, I play football in goal and i occasionally let in simple shots due to lack of concentration and alertness. Now I know taking rc's for intense sports isn't the best idea for but as I only play in goal there isn't actually that much physical demand.

Anyway my questions is would this RC give me the desired effects or are there any others that sound more like what i'm looking for?

I would really appreciate people's thoughts on the matter. Thanks.

MPA is too addictive because you can keep on dosing because it is so cheap!

I know it's not good to mix with an maoi but i'll just lower my Nardil dose (75mg atm)

This is definitely one to avoid. I treated it like a cup of coffee; 50-100mg ~3*/day for less than a week before I developed debilitating postural hypertension. It took three days of lying in bed before I was able to stand up normally without having to fall into a chair - my vision clouding; dissociation; deafness and tinnitus lasting a good two minutes as my heart tried to catch up. I also suffered amnesia.

I'm no biochemist, but I've heard the metabolites contain sulfur dioxides which could potentially leach oxygen from the cerebellum. That would make sense, too, given my symptoms.

This is truly nasty stuff. Flush it and forget about it.

That's pretty unlikely, the thiophene oxides wouldn't be any more toxic than usual.

It is known that the thienylamphetamines have a much stronger effect on blood pressure and vasoconstrictioon than the amphetamines. And realistically, this is a methamphetamine analogue! It's not a cup of coffee.

Would you take ~300mg of meth a day and expect to be fine?

Most days I scaled and dosed fifty twice a day, btw. It was only the last two when I had to get shit done that I dosed 100mg, but the symptoms had been creeping up on me before then. It was only then that I truly suffered.

Yeah - It was an obvious case of vasoconstriction (forgot to mention white extremities with mild aches at them) initially, don't get me wrong; but the length the symptoms persisted lead me to believe there might be some toxic metabolites floating about. Also, why would I be suffering postural hypotension (incorrectly said hypertension in my OP) if my blood vessels have shriveled? Surely a vasodilator would be the more likely cause? If not then oxygen-leaching metabolites? My understanding was that hypertension was more or less symptomless until it reached crisis point. What am I missing, here? Am I incorrect in assuming postural syncope isn't symptomatic of hypertension and vasocontriction?

Regardless, combine the extreme VC'ive side-effects with what is a truly underwhelming stimulant and you are asking for trouble.

No thank you.

I ended up getting a 500mg sample of this RC and tested it out yesterday. Sampled 20mg orally at around 3pm and noticed that I was a bit more energetic but not massively so. Was a bit disappointed. I tried it again today, this time intranasally about 2 and a half hours ago with a 15-20mg line and felt much more energetic than when I had taken it orally. I spotted my dumbbells in the corner of my room. Now it's been a while since I've worked out but on this I had a serious urge to work out. I had house music playing at the time so that might have made a difference? Anyways I had to swap some weights around on the dumbbells which I actually sort of enjoyed as it seemed like a task and I was highly focussed. After I had got them to the weights i wanted I probably worked out for about 30-40 minutes. I then went to get a drink and sniffed another 20mg line and wanted to work out some more. I did so for about another 45-60 minutes until my arms literally couldn't lift any more. I sat on my bed and smoked a small bong which made me feel pretty good. Still quite energised, but not as much, feeling maybe a little bit euphoric thanks to the weed and the floaty/aching feelings my arms have got due to the working out. I think if I stop taking any more now I should have no problem getting to sleep later.

I didn't notice much of a raised heart rate or abnormal amounts of sweating(although it does have that sort of mephedrone smell to it). I really like it so far, I think it could be a very useful RC. Maybe not so much to get wasted on but for other things like working out or studying or anything that needs focus.

Anyway I'm doing the usual rambling that people do when they're on uppers so i'll leave it at that.

I was on 20mg Citalopram for a year and the times whenever I took MPA it didn't decrease the effects. I gave up on ssri's last week, still keep getting those annoying electric shock sensations.
Brain zaps are the worst, man! Hope it's over for you now!

You were overdoing it. I'm an addict with a sky high tolerance and I only get through 5g a month nowadays (~170mg a day to save anyone else doing the maths).

I've had this exact set of symptoms after extended use though. Shortly after I first started doing this stuff and I was massively overdoing it, I just collapsed while sitting in bed watching TV and slept for 72 hours straight (extremely light, disturbed half-sleep for the latter part of it but I couldn't get up all the same). I was so fucking weak I thought I was dying. Whereas you made the right decision, I, on the other hand, recovered and then went straight back to doing it. Now I'm on the smallest of maintenance doses trying to quit properly. 170mg might not sound like a maintenance dose but it's nothing to me, I was on a gram a day for quite a while.

Anyway, you made the right choice! Hope you're over the whole experience now.

And, FWIW, for all those interested in trying MPA, I wish I hadn't.

Would a once of 50mg dose have much of a cross tolerance with MDMA (taken maybe 3 hours later)

How the hell you become addicted to MPA?? I tried it once 3 years ago, and it kept me awake for about 2 days and felt horrid.....I got some nice 'speed' tingles and rushes during the high and felt pretty good at points, and then it just went downhill from there. It therefore amazes me how anyone can get hooked on this!

Yeah, MPA as a functional stimulant at a low dose, 30mgs, pales in comparison to 2-FA.

MPA increased my heartrate, bloodpressure, gave me palpitations, no clarity and willingness to act. All there was at that dose was caffeine-like stimulation. I can't imagine the side effects at higher doses <shudder>.

The ceiling on the effects is prominent early on. I've been awake and dosing for 2 days (insufflation and oral) and taking benzos. I know if I put my head down I'll knock out for at least 36 hours straight. Redosing does not seem to have any effect whatsoever. My heart rate is very high (I haven't measured it) and I'm irritated. I have a slight fever and my vision becomes cloudy on and off (only for a second or two.)

I don't feel like doing anything, productive or otherwise, but if I start something I'll continue doing it for hours. MPA has its uses but for the 2nd time, I need to GTFO this stuff. I am on Sertraline and have never tried MPA off an SSRI so I can't tell if the effects are decreased or not. I would assume so because friends using from the same stash feel the effects much quicker and they report feeling good or great. I don't "feel" any different but I can stand on my tippy toes holding a plate in my mouth and focus on the computer screen for hours. Is that a good thing? No. I took Vincopetine (vasodilator) and aspirin and more benzos. What a stupid decision I made to avoid sleep last night.

Okay I know I said I was done with MPA for life, but bare with me. WHat I have discovered is that this compound treated with respect and by the rules can be a great life enchancer! So here are some thoughts:
I will only do it orally. When done in lines it comes on faster, but it lacks this beautiful feeling it gives me orally! I find 50 mg's to be my sweet spot. If I feel tired or sleepy, let's just called it being stoned, I swallow a cap and around 25minutes after a gentle tingle in my belly is felt! Maybe a burp here or there with this chemical - meat like taste to it. And kaboom, a wave of this undescribable feeling washes over me. Complete soberness, totally awake and aware, this great tingle over my brain and a huge mood llift appears. Music sounds nice and you get very chatty. I find vasoconstriction not to be that really bad when dosed orally, but if you snort it , your dick turns into a peanut instantly. Don't snort it, don't mix it with other stimulants and don't redose or at least don't dose at ridiculous amounts and this will give you clear - minded , overall good feeling and stimulation far greater than coffe and much less jittery than any other speed-kind of drug.
The downside to it is that when you run out of it at find yourself tired at a daytime you think to yourself "Only if I had some mpa with me, it would make me so awake and energetic". And this is what scares me... It seems to be easy to get addicted to this substance very easily.

Welcome to the dark side. :P

Seriously though, you're right. I was addicted to it after a matter of weeks. On balance, I would have to say stay away. You might finally be feeling the appeal of the chemical but you won't see it forever.

I have been using MPA on a regular basis for three years now. My experience is everything with moderation... I started out snorting, drinking and vaping it until the day I tried the UYB method. And, I gotta say, it's definetly worth it. I keep my doses relatively small, if necessary I'll just take another hit if the first is to weak. This chemical has been of great help for my extreme social anxiety and depression. Also, it's been a good help for my Chronic fatigue syndrome. My family and friends haven't got a clue that I'm using, but they have noticed that I seem more at ease around people and that I generally appear smiling and talking instead of sitting quiet in the corner. I have not noticed any bad health side effects, exept for the occasional nausea while under the influence. Of course, coming down is never fun, but I usually take some downers and smoke weed to get down gently. I used to shoot up methamphetamine, it was my favorite drug. But MPA is easier to control, not so intense and not so powerful. On meth I wouldn't sleep for weeks. With MPA, I have learned to not go for days at a time, which works better for me. So those of you that think that MPA is a shitty drug, I pity you fool.

The past few days have been strange. I felt fine 4-5 days after I ran out of MPA but then came extreme lethargy, demotivation and insomnia. I also felt nauseated here and there. I don't know if this is related to MPA because my dose and usage was not that high the weeks before I ran out and I've never had these symptoms in the past (in regard to my MPA usage.)

Another symptom that is likely unrelated is that I've been getting blisters on my shoulders but it may be from the tossing and turning at night trying to sleep. Prior to this I've never gotten blisters in my life except after a direct skin burn. I'm just putting this out there in case anyone has a similar experience.

Now about "brown MPA"—MPA is hydrophillic and will absorb moisture from the air and turn brown within hours/days if not stored properly. It should be stored in a cool dark place with dessicant (DampRid from CVS, etc.) I place MPA in a tiny glass jar and then place that jar in a bigger jar along with a baggie of DampRid which has small holes in it. This big jar then goes in the fridge. I keep a small amount (1g or less) on my desk so I'm not constantly opening the fridge. This small amount is in a wooden box which also contains a baggie of DampRid.

Its become available in capsule form, containing what is IMO a bloody stupid quantity, pink panthers, with 300mg per capsule, although one cap only per package. Rediculously cheap. I quite like the stuff actualy, although I hate most stimulants, much more an opioid and downer person.

Although I never, ever use it for more than a day or two, and don't use it very often. Nice in small bumps nasally, just once in a while, small bumps injected IV, especiall when I mix it with my oxycontin, as a pseudo-spedball. gives my usual oxy shots a rush they don't usually have a great deal of., or good when one needs to pull an all nighter for my scientific studies, monitoring reactions that I cannot really leave safely, or just all night reading benders.

But I really wouldn't ever want do do 300 fucking milligrams in one dose. Anyone taking this orally, who isn't already a meth, amphetamine, or MPA addict is likely in for a pretty unpleasant time IMO. Its likely to be a non-dangerous, but not fun at all mild OD.

Daft to sell it in capsules, as people are likely to think its intended as a single oral dose and behave accordingly. Those used to double dropping MDxx pills etc on habit, might try the same with these and get their arse kicked.

Although I find the stuff quite without comedown, used responsibly in moderate amounts. Pretty smooth stuff, Although some weed to go with it is definitely called for, perhaps a beer or two and a downer. In my case, a cap or two of chlormethiazole at the end of the session, and better yet, a dose of oxy, or even codeine/j collis browne's ,mixture, or gee's linctus is perfect.

Anyone who shoots this IV....has anybody noticed an immediate stinging sensation on pushing down the plunger (making sure the needle is in, and the shot is properly registered...something tells me it would be a bad thing to miss a shot of MPA). I just banged a small to moderately sized shot of MPA a few ago, and as soon as the liquid entered the vein in my hand, I could within seconds feel the histamine release-like stinging sensation, which travelled up my arm, lasted for a minute or so, then subsided.

Has anybody else experienced this with methiopropamine?
