Ok I've never been addicted to opiates, but what you are describing here is what most refer to the "honeymoon phase", eventually they will stop getting you high, or you will need so much that you will be broke on your ass (sometimes just to maintain not getting wd's). Most opiate users who have been burned this way probably realize that the high has a terrible price for them.
