As far as the smell discussion is concerned, I don't think Lil was as aggressive as what you're making her/him out to be D_M. Because what lil said wasn't false.
True it probably could've been said in a more polite way without being sarcastic and asking a rethorical question.
I think foots said it right that most people on this site (Myself included) probably can't tell the difference between safrole and anethole. Most of us go off what we've heard that the left over smell in most MDMA we've come across has a licorice that we've learnt to interperet as safrole smell to it. I'm glad Lil corrected us on this, and we should keep it in mind. Not so much for ourselves because I'm certain the majority of us can distinguish between an MDMA scent and something dodgey. But getting correct terminology is a key point in Harm Reduction. Imagine if we described things slightly wrong from a chemistry point of view. The amount of shit that could go wrong is not something to take lightly.
But most importantly I love Junkie calling PLUR People Look Ugly Rolling, As I have never heard this

Why do you guys think drug users have such a heavy negative feel towards ecstasy.
My feeling is that when you are a young party goer, you go out drink, and the more you drink you look more out of it and dance more and look less aware of your surroundings. You learn from when you first start partying that people who look fucked off alcohol are more likely to ark up over something trivial then what most people are.
So when you see people on Ecstasy who look more out of it (People Look Ugly Rolling) If you know nothing of Ecstasy, people whilst they are just dancing their tits off, to a non-E user they look fucked and potentially violent for these reasons. You could see someone having the time of their life but to someone who can't relate they just look fucked, and people feel more cautious to be around them, even though they are as harmless as the music you are listening to.
Whats everyone elses opinion on this, I try to think back to before I used MDMA and think of what my though process was to people on this drug but it's been a long time since then.
but yer i dont feel there is a negative stigma towards MDMA in the younger drug taking group there is alot more towards meth or smack.
