I did end up buying needles. However, I sucked at injecting, and did some damage to my right arm. Plus, I hate the high you get on needles. It's too short and intense for my liking. Also, I'm so grossed out when pushing down on the plunger. I've been ducking calls from dealers today, as I have no desire to use right now. Thanking my lucky stars I didn't enjoy it, as I can still see regardless how people could get sucked into it.

^well I guess that is a good thing. I will say it is more difficult than I would have thought, at least that is my experience from the one time I came as close as possible to shooting, w/o actually doing it. I was at work, pulling a 16 hour shift. Had it all set up to do in the bathroom. I was gonna do it cause I had 2 medium sized lines for the whole damn day, so figured I could get 3 good doses IV'd. I went to the bathroom and prepped everything, then shit went south. Main issue was I had the needle in, aiming for the AC vein (crook of elbow) and pulled back slightly to register...no blood and just then someone knocks on the door and asks if I am in there. I freaked out at this point cause I was sure registering wouldn't be such an issue, my veins pop out very well, I by no means need a tourniquet. But I got nothing and with my partner at work looking for me I decided to just squirt the juice into my mouth, should went in the nose but I wasn't thinking straight. Probably a stupid idea trying to boot for the first time at work in the BR, but I suppose I am better off it didn't work, still snorting it as of now.

I hear you about the being grossed out pushing down the plunger, just the idea of other people doing it makes me nauseous, for me to do it to myself is even worse. I should include the fact that I foolishly was using a 25 gauge needle, not exactly making things easier. Really it was nerves that got to me, too many unknowns and being at work was a bad idea.

Doing drugs at work is bad enough I am guilty of it but shooting for the first time at work is crazy bad. I am not judging because I have gotten way to high at work and thank my lucky stars I never killed anyone or myself. A guy I worked with was a supervisor and would come out of the bathroom higher than a kite. His guys totally took advantage of the lack of supervision and would fuck off all day not getting anything done and my shift had to pick up the slack. He must have been blowing his boss because he never got in trouble for being a shitty leader. Maybe they were getting high together because the place did go bankrupt.

My point is if you are gonna shoot do it at home with someone that can help you do it as safe as possible.

thats a good thing. so stay away from the needle. stay away from dope period.

what damage did you do to your arm? just marks from where the shot was? or marks from areas you poked w/ no vein? did you draw back to see if blood came back? or did you just stick and shoot?

have you tried/reached out to any places that might be able to get you on a subox program? not sure how much you're doing daily but a good dosage of suboxone always kills the urge/drive. i am not talking about the people who buy it themselves on the street and do just enough to get by for a day or so, but go see the dr, telling the dr what you do, even lie and say you do more than you do, and get the dosing of subox that will kill ALL URGES/ALL DRIVE. i still have no urge or drive to go back and it's been roughly 2 months now but I am on 16/MG a day of subox and it's doing wonders so far. then again, i am at the same stage i was last time i quit and went 5 years sober. just had enough. OD's, no money, no trust in the family, no nothing.

or do it in random bathrooms around the streets since that was my place. never could do it at home cuz the GF was there and already knew I was junked out. so I always found myself setting up shop in random bathrooms (1 person bathrooms) at random spots. its funny cuz I havent been in a bathroom at a dunks, mcdonalds, burger king, etc, since I stopped using. at one point, when using daily, I felt I was a known face in many places cuz I used their bathroom so much. it's just fucking whacky thinking about the dumb shit I did when getting jammed. none of it makes any sense now but when it was happening, it somehow made sooooo much sense.

^^

Yeah I used to get high in public bathrooms like that all the time. Starbucks, Mcdonalds, whatever. Got so bad that whenever I was clean I couldn't even go to one of those bathrooms as they all usually look alike, without having intense cravings.

I use in bathrooms all the time, just snorting of course. It actually presents a little bit more of a challenge because you need a flat, non-porous surface, large enough to break out a line. I always carry alcohol swabs to wipe the surface and if the surface is particularly questionable (which most are) I'll wash it down with soapy water first. I also had a lamenated 4x6" card that worked well to break up drugs on.

Definitely a high demand for one person BRs, too, much preferred. Also help if you have to whiz because it takes me a minute to go when high, and if someone is in the room with me its like guaranteed stage fright x10,

I agree with the BR causing cravings. When I go in certain ones I used more often than others (like the one at work) while being clean and all I am thinking is how I'd love to be getting high in there right now. Aside from my bedroom where I do my stuff when at home, that bathroom at work is probably #2 on the list of rooms I have used in the most. As for using at work, lets just say its better than withdrawing at work, which causes me to be a clumsy, uncoordinated wreck.

wow man, what class! i could never take that time of time to wipe down, clean, etc. i was so wanting to get the junk in me that id rush my ass off. the faster it was me in the better. thats just how sick my mind was.

^Having a big box of alcohol swabs was the best idea I came up with for these situations. For a while I would just use soap and water, which wasn't always possible and was a pain in the ass. But with the alchy swabs a quick wipe and then take some t.p. and dry it off and good to go. Sometimes before I carried around the swabs if I saw one of those hand sanitizer things I'd grab a bunch in the palm and walk into the BR with that to clean a spot to snort.

Bruising and a couple of bone infections. I just can't manipulate the needle with one hand, as it won't keep steady. I'd use two hands and inject in my legs, but I can't find a vein there. The foot is how I got the first bone infection, so I'm not going there.
It's rather embarrassing, but the fact is, I completely fail at injecting. I'll draw blood, but when I push down, the needle moves and I lose the vein. Maybe if I had something to tie around my arm, but I don't have anything that works.

Lol, what do you mean? You have a belt don't you? Hell, you can even use a shirt as a tourniquet. Especially long sleeve shirts.

^I hope he's at least thought about trying those things..Some people have deep veins, I'm lucky I can still use the crooks of my arm after 16 years.....

Belt did not work. And I like my shirts too much to stretch them. >_<
I don't think that would help the unsteady hand either.

Sounds like IV'ing just isn't for you... there are some people who just aren't made for it and never get how to do it. There's no point in continuing to do it as you get no benefit and just complications. Use another ROA.

Don't IV, it's simple. Stick to whatever it is you are doing. It's not for everyone and to be honest, it only worsens the sickness of being a fiend. Once I hit IV my life TANKED AT RAPID SPEED! I went from being the every day sniffer to being a straight out junkie. This might not have happened to everyone but it sure did for me. Just thinking back and thinking of myself setting up that shot makes me sick. It might be a trigger for some to think that but w/ me, as of NOW, it just makes me sick.

Let's hope I stay as far away as possible.. although, as I said before, I am still smoking weed and xanny here and there. Sure, it's not "clean" but it's damn clean to me!

Hey Noc...if I could go back to the day of my first injection, I would definitely not do it knowing what I know now!! Stick to snorting...it's hard but not impossible but since you're already having troubles with it you should be able to switch back with no probs. For me it's either shoot or nothing, I've tried to switch back but I love the intense rush you get after eight seconds(yes I've timed it) instead of waiting three to five minutes more or less. I remember when I started to shoot my buddy told me when you snort you're only getting about 50 to 75 percent of the dope into your system cause it gets caught up in the cillia(hairs inside your nose along with the mucus and other stuff that impedes the flow of dope into your brain; while shooting it you get 100% into your system and it takes only seconds and if you're sick as a dog believe me even 8 seconds is long for me8(

I never did get an intense rush. Just a mild feeling of warmth. But my right arm is so bruised I've been wearing only long-sleeved shirts. It looks like somebody stomped on my forearm, and I don't want people to mistakenly think that someone is hurting me(even though it's true, and that someone is myself).
I'm throwing out the rest of my needles once I have a bit of alone time to do so. I might as well just try again at stopping at least for a while, and get my tolerance down. That's a better way to save money.

^No kidding, sounds like you are basically skin popping the stuff. And I'm going to suggest going to a doctor and maybe they will give you some antibiotics or something because if you are missing so often like that is pretty dangerous. Better have it looked at now before they are performing debridement on your arm.
