Gabapentinoids The Lyrica (Pregabalin) Mega Thread v 2.0

One word of warning for new Lyrica users.

Lyrica WD can be horrendous and people have died from it. Please be careful. The hypertension and high blood pressure is the scariest, physically, plus feeling like you're going to seize.

The psychological efffects are horrible, terribe anxiety and panic, depression, extreme sensitivity to stimulus like light and sound, etc. But the physical symtoms scared me the worst. It was worse than opiate WD. Still had the flue like symptomps and chills, but felt like I was going to die with the hypertension and near-seizing.

Guess it's like a combined benzo/opiate WD. What could be more horrible? The benzo aspect bothered me the most as it freaked me out. Opiate WD is crrippling depression and flu-like symptomps. But it gets better day by day. Lyrica WD doesn't, it just goes on, and lasted a full 10 daays before I felt well again. But the benzo aspect, with the extreme panic/anxiety, hypertension, feeling like something is horrribly wrong with your body, is really scary.

Please don't go cold turkey from this drug. Taper off or detox with Gabapentin. Opiates also seems to work, especially combined with benzos. Otherwise you're fucked and will be in hell for 10 days. Especially without sleeping pills, because you won't be able to sleep at all, and that is the only time you will have any peace if you go cold turkey.

Just my experience and a warning. this drug seems so innocent. Few side effects. But if you get yourself dependent by taking it regularly for some months time, please plan a good taper.

Taper Lyrica, or detox with Gabapentin, use Magnesium as it helps a lot, and sedative herbs, like hops and valerian, theanine can help, and finally opiates and benzos, and sleeping pills.

Just writing this to help avoid others ending up in that situation. Cold Turkey Lyrica Withdrawal IS hell.

Now I've said it.Just don't be stupid and plan ahead for this. Any addicts should have a stash of Gabapentin or Opiates/benzos/sleeping pills to help you through it if this ever comes about (like supplier fail you or money problems). Then you need to have something on hand to avoid that experience, and please don't be tempted to use it up cause you might bitterly regret it.

Just this was the worst experience of my life and I wouldn't want anyone else to have to go through it. Please be smart and plan ahead. Would be interested in hearing from others having gone through this. Those who say there are no withdrawals have just not used it long enough or in high enough doses, or there's some weird thing going on with them, but that doesn't apply to alll.

Take care and please don't misinform others that there are no withdrawals just because you haven't come to that point yet. It could hurt them a lot.

WOAW it has been 2y since had last time and had forgotten how fucking AWESOME this is. it has a bit of everything i like - stoned body high, ghb drunkness, some light psychedelia, and definitely dissociation feeling that reminds strongly ketamine. The best part it lasts 16h, ridiculous half life, dont understand how wikipedia says 5-6H halflife.

Damn, pregabalin is my new (old) love. <3
 
I've taken 300mg twice a day for just over a year prescribed , I am wondering what dose I would need to take for a recreational experience. What effect would this have on my tolerance. or maybe if i got some gabapentin to go with it. Any potentiators?

I highly doubt with your tolerance to the maximum daily dose that you could use Lyrica recreationally.
 
thats what I have found to be the case, any time I have tried a recreational dose (say 3-4g) I have felt very little except the fact that my daily dose wasn't working as effectively,
 
In my experience, you can only get some good effects by using Lyrica onces at most every 3 days. This is not usually possible, nor a good idea for most people who need the drug for pain.
 
wow. took 450mg along with 20mg buspar at 5pm. fell asleep at 6pm. Woke up at 7am tripping. I forgot all about the pills, took me about 5 minutes to figure out why I was tripping. Never had that happen before.
Was a combination of being drunk and mdma, but no nausea or speedy feeling. I did a few blood chokes and was super intense.
edit: it's 1pm now. I took it 20hours go, still haven't come down yet. This stuff is crazy.

I am detoxing from Subs and some H and i found a bunch of Lyrica that my doc gave my years ago for siatica. Its just been laying around and I heard it's helpful with WD so I took about 450mg at 11am and OMG it hit me like a ton of bricks! No WD symptoms, so that's good. I couldn't function normally tho, walking into walls and shit like that. I dont think I will take that much again, every time I closed my eyes i got massive hallucinations....ppl were building huge geometric domes and tunneling...in my head. I just don't understand why Lyrica would take all WDs away? Will they pop up again tomorrow? If anyone has experience w/Opiate detox and Lyrica I'd love to hear about it.
 
Lyrica doesn't take away all of my WD but it sure helps alot! 450mg is quite a bit to take with no tolerance, I can understand why you were bumping into walls and stuff :P
 
I think next time maybe 250mg? might be a better recreational dose...450mg kicked my ass. I have a fairly high tolerance to benzos and have read this can affect dosing. So I prob shouldn't take any more today, huh? I feel like shit.
 
After a month without taking Pregabalin nor Gabapentin, I did 3 150mg white Lyrica pills. It give me lots of energy and euphoria first, then I did some Xanax and Klonopin, it fucked me and I fall asleep. When I wake up I was hungry as a bear, ate some pasta, and still feel energy, empathy, cleverness, and no pain at all no matter how I sit. It's awesome.
One important thing, I did 500mg of Naproxen before taking the Lyrica to increase it binding to proteins.

I wish I could describe why and how exactly Lyrica makes me feel on a low dose of GBL. Both are downers and uppers at the same time, works on the GABA site, although no one knows if Lyrica works also on GABA-B receptors.
 
god i miss lyrica, im on gabapentin now, it feels a little like lyrica in super high dosages, but its just not as good :(

It's because lyrica is seen as the 21st century evolution from gabapentin. Pregabalin works very similarly on the GABA receptors but its potency is many times that of neurontin.
 
Hey just wondering how do you shoot lyrica I know how to shoot it jus how do u put the pill in the right form and how many shots iz enough? Thanks hope you can help
 
I usually take like 10 and the high feels awesome I'm 13 and I don't overdose prolly cuz I'm tall for my age but after an hour o two i hop in bed and sleep like a baby
