Gabapentinoids The Lyrica (Pregabalin) Mega Thread v 2.0

@drfuck why not take a tolerance break? Or drop the dosages as low as possible and then take tolerance break.

Anyhow for me I had my normal 600mg dose and every time I get heavy munchies, any one else get that?

Nothing measures up to the munchies I get from pregabalin. I can eat a whole meal and still be hungry and if I do eat more it still tastes divine.

Very different from benzo munchies where I feel like it’s mostly the disinhibition that promotes appetite. And weed just makes things taste a lil better. I don’t get an increase in cravings like with pregabalin.
What’s your go-to munch?

I read a study on it a couple of years back, I can’t attest to if it’s sound. It was something to do with dopamine inhibition in a specific part of the brain if I remember correctly. I’ll try to look for it.
 
Am i right that pregabalin doesnt Go well with alcohol? Had a minimal Dose of it along with some wine and i didnt had to wait long before the headaches did Settle in.
 
i take 450 mg/day. Ran out due to pain doc/primary care doc both calling in the rx for me but then it was at two pharmacies which is a no no.
so I ended up taking mega benzos thinking I was in benzo withdrawal with akastesia (like restless legs/ but you can not sit still or sleep so pacing and walking it is. It is a movement disorder and my son who has seen me at my worst said straight up that pregabalin withdrawal looked 100 percent equivalent to benzo withdrawal which I have now because I have extra lyrica the cure is only temporary but its always something. At least it didn't have the pain in the legs that methadone withdrawal causes.
I have been to the ER a few times for the trifecta withdrawal; methadone lyrica clonazepam until they told me not to come any more.
Now my pain doc is retiring and the methadone clinic don't like the lyrica or clonazepam.
My primary will give me suboxone pregabalin benzo but I have to switch from years of methadone. I am at 15mgs/day and hate withdrawal
Also pharms are going out of business/overwhelmed so try waiting in line for hours at rite aid and walgreens only to be told no at the counter with akathesia is almost impossible but its the pharmacy has the cure
My pain doc gave me gabapentin but I didn;t like it, would of killed for some last couple days!
But it was 2008 or so and Lyrica was magic my pain doc asked me have I heard of it.
Paid 300/month for it so many years when Pfizer had the patent for it
Anyhoo took too much pregabalin and not enough benzos lol

Spoiler: it didn't do any good and so for all subsequent intakes I had to continue at 1500mg so as not to lose any recreational potential.
If at my next dose of the week I go down to 900mg on an empty stomach, will it have an effect or should I wait longer to hope for a small high?
I've been taking doses between 1200 and 1500mg for 2 3 months now.

Careful mate, you’re most likely physically addicted so you’ll get withdrawal effects if and when you stop so be careful. Just incase you didn’t know pal 👍🏻

You should be ok going from 15 mgs of methadone to suboxone that’s a low enough dose, I’m on 45mgs tapering down to 30 so I can get the new subutex arm IM injection it last like 4/5 weeks without any wd symptoms
It’s amazing, im in uk, just wondering do they have the new injection in the US ?
 
some observation, I was 6 days withot pregabalin and I take it for like 5 years minimum and honestly i might even felt better, a bit edgy well I had time as editing some videos for photos, weddings and commercials, also i love to mix techno, well that is the thing now I almost cannot hear the music when I took 450mg I can hear it but probably when my noradrenaline stopped spiking being elevated for a day or two like sympathetic system was like a constant I barely had a quality sleep
but at the time like yesterday I mixed progressive house morphing into minimal techno style and without pregabalin I only had a bit stomach ache higher and I think I will probably stop with tapering, cause I was going in the city for the rx and driving in the morning crowd was I had some moments of agressive thoughts and i just connected phone and listen to music which is also felt better and different

Watched dune 3rd time both parts at the weekend without meds and I felt like I watch it the first time, so after I remembered Phenibut blissful feeling is better than any gabapentinoid as GHB is to short duration. benzos are always to boring so I take clonazepam if needed. now I try to imagine how great it would be that Phenibut is instead of pregabalin or baclofen even. All gabapentinoids are very hard to maintain dose so I think only when I took phenibut last time I made the best things, and I checked with other people as high sugestibility or dellusion of grandiose or ego to the roof is something noticeable.

so long term users as occasional and those that stopped, what are your opinions on pregabs and without pregabs?
 
Hi everyone! Sorry im not sure if this is the right tread to ask. Anyway my question is can you iv Lyrica? I got these 300mg caps i hve been popping them alongside with my methadone orally but takes long time to kick in this way and i wonder if it gives you a rush shooting them. Is there fillings in the capsule or is it straight pregabalin

the bioavailability is very close to being 100%, there is to much of it to think about it. it 's not like f.e. buprenorphine 2mg with filtering the most of the other like Alkaloid(company) its the smallest pill I saw of BUP, pregabs 450 or 900mg than repeating you would have pregabalin instead of blood in couple days. but here are people that did or do have experience with needle as I just do not on myself nor the other...frack I meant seeing other and reading here threads posts on various IV. I still do not reccomend.

just be grateful that you have it I never did understand that I cannot wait to kick in. dont wait.

My doc is giving me fucking lyrica and that's all he does about my pain. And got some tramadol too but never feel anything from them. FUCK THAT SHIT

I been off this forum for ages and logged back in reading your post cuz I feel for you. I got brain cancer and seizures due to it and ended up with compartment syndrome in my arm after a seizure and had bad nerve pain for very long after. I am fortunate and my doc is very patient oriented but she suggested bupernorphine low dose for it cuz I couldn't tolerate the nerve pain meds (could barely stay conscious) but I've been on subs in past and did well with them. That Is an off label use but I feel it helped (not 100%)
 
I had extreme pregabalin withdrawal; I assumed it was benzos as I had been binging. But since I was out of pregabs the benzos would give me an hour or two of relative relief; but running out of benzos.

However once I got pregabalin back after one week I had instant relief.

For me the unbearable part of benzo and pregabalin withdrawal is akathesia or pacing.
methadone is restless leg; but I have never had puking or shitting which I imagine would elevate its withdrawal potential if I dared go without

Potentially it causes cancer but it’s only been shown to cause cancer in mice. More studies are needed.

“Pregabalin has no genotoxic activity, thus its mode of carcinogenic action is assumed to be epigenetic. In summary, because of the positive carcinogenic findings in mice, the carcinogenic potential of pregabalin for humans remains a matter of concern. However, since the carcinogenic activity of pregabalin has been demonstrated only in one species (mice) at relatively high systemic exposures (based on blood level comparison of pharmacokinetic parameters with those of humans) and not in a second species (rats), the potential carcinogenic risk of pregabalin exposure in humans is considered to be small”

Pregabalin (study) is a single-species carcinogen producing only one type of tumor, hemangiosarcomas in mice via a nongenotoxic mechanism.
 
Wish me luck tomorrow guys, I'm going to hopefully be able to aske my doc to be switched to pregabalin instead of gabapentin. Would be so awesome, lyrica will forever be my favourite substance. Missed it a tonne.
 
Is 600 mg Lyrica + 2 mg Ativan dangerous for first time recreational use? I just took it and I’m concerned that because I don’t have a tolerance to either drug that I should have started lower. Any thoughts?
