Gabapentinoids The Lyrica (Pregabalin) Mega Thread v 2.0

...Damn that was a quick reply. LOL

So I'm thinking dose, wait four and 1/2 hours, then dose again. Would this be about 'right'?

^^ even though you dont "feel" the lyrica after 6hours it is definitely still there in the background passively making me feel alright and content with my life..

the high usually peaks in abuot 1-2 hours and lasts 3-4 hours with lingering effects for another 2-4 hours

Haha yeah I started the day with a residual Lyrica high. The reason I said four and 1/2 hours is because it takes around an hour or so, even an hour and 1/2 sometimes, the longest wait I've had with any medication, e.g. Focalin IR taken orally hits in a 1/2 hour, sometimes 45 minutes at the most with me.

taking it combined with a benzo is absolutely euphoric and one of my favorite combos. definitely the best for potentiating benzos and opiates

weed is also amazing with lyrica...it is a totally different high, probably because they both act on the brain in the same way, more or less

Strangely when I take Lyrica (like right now lol) I want to smoke a bowl. I normally do not like bud, I have ADHD thus when I smoke I'm guaranteed to be up for three or four hours. I can't eat, I can't think, and I'm tired but I can't sleep. It just doesn't do to me the same way it does to everyone else, and I believe it's the ADHD.

Again though, I want to smoke with Lyrica, never have thus far though.

nah i know plenty of people who have ADHD and who smoke daily! it could be your prescribed medicine (adderall, concerta, ect..) if you are taking them. i tend to enjoy weed with stims but the only down side is the increased heart rate and sometimes unwanted paranoia/panic attacks

i smoke weed daily and i can definitely tell a difference in the high when im on lyrica

Oh I'm not saying it doesn't have a use. Hell I wouldn't have been able to stop meth were it not for weed. I usually don't take meds with bud, guess I just don't like it, but trust me I know plenty of people who find it very helpful, and I know it is.

Shit now I want a hit. lol

ive had to stop taking pregabalin because i feel so shitty and anxious for up to a week after taking it. oh well, its for the best. anyone else have this problem?

gonna tell my doc lyrica isnt working out for me, gives me tarchadia, weird fluid retention and makes me shakey, maybe they go away in time, but since this is a tryout for Generalised anxiety order its not really helping :( (this is at low dose too.

Lyrica isn't 'FDA-approved' for anxiety, so I'm surprised s/he gave it to you.

Am I the only one that doesn't get tachycardia and shakes and withdrawals on this? I will never say any drug is harmless but so far I haven't experienced any adverse reactions to Lyrica, speaking in present-tense. I realize there will probably be long-term effects, but I haven't seen any negative effects in the immediate sense.

Good point. Euros don't have to deal with the FDA bullshit. :D

Edit: Calm down my friend, it wasn't an attack. :)

That may explain why it doesn't work for you. I'm on a 450mg dose and I get the shakes and jolts too, but it works for me.

It does even mess with my libido, but strangely I don't care.

Anyway my doc doesn't want me to stay on it, so I'm tapering at the moment.

Prewarning, this is a message to hopefully help others enjoy what they are already doing:

I find that sex, hell playing with yourself for that matter, is MUCH better on Lyrica than not. I guess since it works on the nerves themselves that stimulation in that way is magnified somehow.

Hope you all find this helpful in some way!

lyrica is horrible to me! i think the lactose binders in the capsules give me a 12 hour allergic reaction that is very unpleasant. gabapentin on the otherhand, treats me nicely. except for the withdrawals.

If you're experiencing allergic reactions to it I believe you would certainly be better off not taking it and staying with the gabapentin, as you said you do not have allergy-related symptoms on it.

what symptoms did you get? im lactose intolerant and take lyrica, maybe thats why i get horrible symptoms from it.
